Loralie Love, of Forest City, PA, is one of more than 120 students participating with Lebanon Valley College's Pride of The Valley Marching Band this year. Love, a graduate of Wallenpaupack Area High School, is pursuing a bachelor of arts in English at The Valley.

The Pride of The Valley Marching Band includes music and non-music majors representing almost every academic program on campus. The marching band performs at all home football games and various exhibitions throughout the fall semester.

Wilkes University awarded more than 400 bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees at its summer commencement.

The following local students earned their degrees: James Laurie, of Meshoppen, doctorate in education; Emilee West, of Nicholson, master's degree in education.
