Earl Chester French
Earl Chester French, age 80, of Ft. Walton Beach Florida, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 25, 2017 at Brookdale Senior Living.
He was born in Stevens Point, Pa and retired in Fort Walton Beach.
He served 20 years in the Air Force and 24 years on the Okaloosa County School Board.
Earl was married for 49 years to Anita French who passed Feb 6, 2008. He was a sweet, compassionate man who led a simple life. Earl loved to see everyone around him smile which always made him happy. He was also our hero and father!
Earl is survived by his daughter, Jacqueline Savoy; grand-daughter, Melissa Heath; great-grandson, Bryson Sanchez; grandson, Jeffery Hebner and wife Danica; great grand-daughter, Makaila Hebner; great-grandson, Devon Hebner; great-grandson, Isaac Hebner all of Ft. Walton Beach, FL. He is also survived by his nephew, Larry French and extended family in Susquehanna, Pa.
A celebration of Earl’s life was held Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at Emerald Coast Funeral Home with full military honors. The service was officiated by Buddy Duncan.

Elizabeth Hartt Griffin
Elizabeth Hartt Griffin, 95, a longtime resident of New Milford, PA, died January 31, 2018 at Gracious Living Estates in South Montrose. She was born on March 3, 1922, daughter of Hugh L. and Julia A. Hartt. She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Richard A. Griffin.
Elizabeth is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Julia and Lauren Stiles, Ithaca, NY; daughter and son-in-law, Janet Siefring and Ronald Simpson, State College, PA; daughter, Carol Remington, Bethesda, MD; son and daughter-in-law, Richard C. and Linda Griffin, Endwell, NY; son, Brian Griffin, New Milford; grandchildren, Jamie Wilhelm, Ellen Wilson, Lindsey Woodnorth, and Richie Griffin; and great-grandchildren, Lucy Wilhelm, Molly Wilhelm and Olivia Wilson.
Elizabeth was a lifelong and active member of the First United Methodist Church, New Milford, PA and was a past member of the New Milford Cemetery Association Board of Directors. She was a graduate of New Milford High School and Ridley Secretarial School, Binghamton, NY. She was employed by American Mutual Insurance Company, Binghamton in the 1940s and was a representative for World Book Encyclopedia for 33 years. Elizabeth was an avid reader. She will be remembered for her volunteer work and many good deeds throughout the community.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staffs of Gracious Living Estates and Hospice of the Sacred Heart for their loving care.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church, New Milford, PA on Saturday, February 10, 2018 with Rev. Jane Pykus officiating.
The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.
Funeral arrangements were made by Tuttle-Yeisley Funeral Home, Inc.
Internment will be in New Milford Cemetery.

Joy E. Maskaly
Joy E. Maskaly, 68, of New Milford, PA was called home to be with the Lord on January 29, 2018. She leaves behind her beloved husband of almost 48 years, Stephen.
Joy is also survived by two sons, Jason and Julie Maskaly, Factoryville, PA and Garry and Karlene Maskaly, Los Alamos, NM; five grandchildren, Nicholas, Jocelyn, Matthew, Jonathan, and Grace;
in-laws, Basil Maskaly, Anne Marron, Vivian Stevens, and Mary Stevens; and several nieces and nephews.
Joy was an active member of the First Baptist Church in New Milford, participating in the choir, serving as both the secretary and treasurer, and in multiple other positions. Her name fit her personality beautifully. She had a cheery disposition and readily shared her smile. Joy was a cherished wife, mother, and grandmother. She was dearly loved and will be deeply missed.
