FEBRUARY 10

VALENTINE'S BBQ: On Saturday, February 10th, the East Ararat United Methodist Church will be holding a Valentine's BBQ from 11pm – 2pm. The meal includes half a chicken, roll and a snack. SPAGHETTI DINNER: Knights of Columbus Council 356 will be holding a Spaghetti and Homemade Meatball Dinner on Saturday, February 10th. The dinner will start at 4pm and run until 7pm at the KOC Hall 65 Kilrow St., Great Bend, PA. Please contact the KOC for more information and pricing. Children 5 & under are free. Live music will be performed by Carl Tanner & Friends.

ASH WEDNESDAY: St Marks Episcopal Church in New Milford will be holding an Ash Wednesday Service on February 14th starting at 10 AM.

FEBRUARY 16

OPEN REHEARSAL: Bring your instrument and play along with the Northern Tier Symphony's open rehearsal on Friday, February 16 at 7:30pm. Meet-and-Greet at the Break. Located at Tunkhannock Middle School Auditorium, 200 Franklin Ave, Tunkhannock, PA. All instruments invited - strings welcome. We have percussion instruments. SUPPER: Hop Bottom United Methodist Church will be holding an “all you can eat” pancake/sausage gravy & biscuit supper on February 17 from 4:30 to 7 pm.

FREE LUNCH: St Marks Church in New Milford will be holding their Good News Lunch on Saturday, February 17 starting at noon. Free meal. All are welcome.

FREE LUNCHEON: Christ Episcopal Church at the corner of Delaware & Dundaff Streets in Forest City will be holding their monthly community luncheon. The meal is completely free, and all are welcome. Saturday, February 17th from noon to 1:30pm. Bring your family and friends and enjoy a hearty meal.

FEBRUARY 18

DINNER THEATER: The Clifford Community Youth Group will hold their annual “Ziti with Your Sweetie” Dinner Theater on Sunday, February 18th at the Clifford Fire Hall, beginning at 2 PM. Salad, ziti with meatballs, beverage and dessert will be served as the youth and friends present "And Then There Was One, A Spoof". FEBRUARY 20

FREE TASTING: Community Neighbors Connecting. On Tuesday, February 20, from noon to 2pm at St. Marks Community Center, Main Street, New Milford, PA. Come participate in our annual Blind Tasting. This year is Strawberry Ice Cream! (find out if you prefer store brand or a high priced one). This event is free. Bring a sandwich. Drinks provided. Every adult Susquehanna County Neighbor is invited.

MARCH 24

RESOURCE DAY: Information regarding services/resources available in Susquehanna County with be available to  the public on Saturday, March 24th from 9 AM - 1 PM at Mt. View High School Campus. Please call 570.533.3716, for more information.

JULY 12

JULY 12-13-14: Union Dale Volunteer Fire Company is looking for band bids and contract offers for the annual July, 2018 picnic. Interested bands should contact Andrew Belcher at 570-241-7757 before February 12 deadline.

Wednesday: Valentine’s Day Special - Chicken Piccata, Roasted Potatoes, Glazed Carrots, Whole Wheat Dinner Roll, Chocolate Layer Cake.

Thursday: Roast Turkey Breast, Brussel Sprouts, Sweet Potatoes, Whole Wheat Roll, Sugar Cookie.

Quilters Welcome At Eat & Greet

The Choconut Creek Apartments, located at 26615 State Route 267 in Friendsville, will host a Quilt Show Eat & Greet event, sponsored by B/S/S/T Area Agency on Aging, Inc. on Wednesday, March 14 at 11:00am. This event is free and open to adults 60 and older. Lunch will be served at noon with a menu of barbeque chicken on a whole wheat roll, tomato basil soup, broccoli slaw, and sorbet. Reservations are required by 10:00am on March 13, and can be made by calling 1-800-634-3746. Quilters interested in sharing their work are welcome and encouraged to call 1-800-634-3746 for more information.

Scams Seminar At Lawton Center

The Lawton Senior Center, located at 54 State Route 3037, will host Janene Holter, Senior Supervisory Special Agent with the Attorney General’s Office, for a program reviewing “Top Ten Scams” on Monday, February 12 at 11:00am. This program is free and open to adults 60 years and older. Participants seeking to enjoy lunch following the program are asked to call 1-800-634-3746, by 10:00am on February 8 to reserve a meal.
