Carl J. (Jim) Lee, 69 of Binghamton passed away on Saturday, April 29, 2017, at the Health Alliance Hospital, Kingston, NY, after a traumatic injury at work on October 28, 2016.

He was predeceased by his parents, Carl A. and Marjorie (Curran) Lee; siblings, Mary Eloise and William R. Lee; close cousins, Albert and C. Robert Curran.

Jim is survived by his wife of 39 years, Susan; stepchildren, Joseph (Julie) Wiktorek and Kathi Jones; daughter, Kelli (Joe) Turk; his sisters, Margaret (George) Vacca and Nancy (Bill )Culnane; brother-in-law, Dr. Rick Henderson, grandchildren, Joshua (Misha ) Hanzalik, Ryan George, Nicholas and Emily Barnett, Jackie and Jesse Wiktorek, Victor and Julian Acosta and Liam Turk; great grandchildren, Aria and Roman Hanzalik; and he is also survived by five nieces and eight grand-nieces and nephews.

Jim was a native of Susquehanna, PA and graduated from Laurel Hill Academy and attended Broome Community College.  He was a member of the Chemical Engine Fire Department of Susquehanna for 9 years.  Jim retired from UHS in 2017 after working in the Engineering department for 42 years. 

He enjoyed traveling to visit family and going to beaches from Maine to Key West.  A lifelong New York Yankees and Giants fan, Jim enjoyed watching NASCAR and sports and playing chess.

Jim was a member of the parish of St’s. John and Andrew in Binghamton.

A funeral mass was celebrated by Msgr. Michael Meagher,  on Friday, May 5th, at Saints John and Andrew Church,  1263 Vestal Ave.,  Binghamton, NY

Interment will be in the St. John’s Cemetery, Susquehanna, PA.

Conrad J. Zebrowski, Sr, 70 of Main Street, Thompson, PA, passed away at home on March 24,2017. Conrad was born in Sussex, NJ on June 9, 1946 and moved to Thompson in 1970. He was a dairy farmer all his life.

He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Jean (Terpstra) Zebrowski; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Donald and Tammy; Conrad John, Jr; Lucas and Terry; three daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Ronnie; Shirley and Eric, Connie and Joe; 15 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Conrad will be missed by his family and friends. A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.

Mary Louise McNamara, 89, life-time resident of Susquehanna, Pennsylvania passed away on Tuesday, May 2. Mary joined her loving husband, Bobby (RG), and the rest of the heavenly Dantini and McNamara families and friends. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, she is survived by her children and their families, who will revere and cherish her memory forever: Robert and Carol (Klaiber) McNamara Jr., Susquehanna; grandson, Major Stephen McNamara, USAF, Alexandria Va.; brother, Patrick McNamara, fms, Marist Brothers, Forest Hills, NY; Dennis and Jane (Rouse) McNamara, New Milford; granddaughters, Major (Dr.) Eric and fiance Captain Scott Yancey, USAF, San Antonio, TX, Alison McNamara, Brooklyn, NY, and Maureen McNamara and partner Roland Ausborn, Aurora, NY; grandchildren, Mallorie and her husband, Jeremy Tong of King Ferry, NY, Dallas Marshal and Robb Marshall of Albany area, NY, Ann McNamara and partner, Corey Reeves, Aurora, NY.

Mary cherished and loved her Dantini family. She is survived by her sisters, Josephine Dantini Buell, Binghamton, NY, Carolina Dantini Stein, Susquehanna, PA, Julie Ann Dantini, Laurel Lake, PA, and a brother, Joseph and his wife, Donna Dantini, Sayre, PA, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Mary is predecease by her parents, her husband, Robert G. McNamara, her sister, Monica Dantini Gosnell, her brother, Phillip Dantini, and siblings, who died at young ages, Joseph, Patricia and Anna Maria.

Mary was born to Anna and Giulio Dantini. When traveling, Mary would often refer to herself as “an Italian girl from Susquehanna, Pennsylvania, and when growing up my biggest journey was to Binghamton to shop at McLean's Department Store.” That background was summed up in her favorite Italian song, “Oh Marie.” She was an original “bobby-soxer” for Frank Sinatra, sporting her favorite saddle shoes. That all changed in her adult life with trips to Chicago, NYC, Cape Code, the Jersey Shore, Florida and to the Washington, DC area. The trip of her lifetime was traveling to Italy and walking in her beloved father's footsteps in Palestrina.

After graduating from high school, she worked for a few years in Binghamton. Mary met the love of her life, Bobby (RG) and the two married in 1949. They made a home for 67 years at 514 West Main Street. There she cherished her Italian heritage while embracing the Irish traditions. The holidays, especially Thanksgiving and Christmas with extended family and friends brought her much happiness.

She loved her home town, especially shopping downtown or in its markets and the trips to Binghamton with her sister, partner and friend, Carolina for extended shopping days, especially looking for Hallmark cards for family and friends.

Mary was a devout Roman Catholic, and a member of St. John the Evangelist Church and women's clubs; her daily routine was to enjoy the Mass on television, sometimes several times as well as recite her prayer list for all needy family members and friends. She worked alongside her husband for the Democratic Party and served as a poll worker. In later years, she would become, and enjoyed being the Susquehanna Tax Collector. Keeping up with lifelong friends and attending class reunions were an important part of her life. Mary's family life was raising her children with special fondness for her six grandchildren. It always included her extended family, special godchildren, and many Italian and Irish cousins, now all around the world. She spent time-caring for her mother in law, as well as other senior friends who came into her life.

Mary's family expresses gratitude to the endearing and caring health care aides who helped her in the past two years; how she loved getting to know you and your family stories. Also thanks to her physicians that she trusted and appreciated, to the staff at Barnes-Kasson Hospital in Susquehanna for their attentive and compassionate care. And finally, many thanks as well to the staff and friends at Turnpike Terrace who made her so welcome during her short residency there.

At Mary's request, there will be a Memorial Mass of the Resurrection, celebrated at St. John Church, 15 E. Church St., Susquehanna, PA, on May 20 at 11:00AM. Interment will be at St. John's Cemetery, Susquehanna, PA.

In lieu of flowers, Mary asked that donations be made to the Marist Brothers of the Schools and their mission for needy young people and poor children; Marist Center, 70-20 Juno Street, Forest Hills, NY 11375.
