Holy Name of Mary Church in Montrose will be celebrating the 100th Anniversary of the Apparitions of Our Lady at Fatima, Portugal.  The celebration will begin at 10 AM in the church on Saturday, May 13.  Sister Kelly of the Capuchin Sisters of Nazareth from Jackson will be the speaker.   She and the other sisters will provide beautiful uplifting music.

On May 13, 1917, the Blessed Mother appeared to three young children, Lucia, Jacinta, and Francisco, who were tending sheep near Fatima in Portugal.   The apparitions continued once a month for 6 months.  In October, there was a miracle observed by about 70,000 people.  Saturday May 13, 2017 will be the 100th anniversary of the first apparition.

During the program, there will be exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, praying of the rosary, Benediction, a procession with a statue of Our Lady of Fatima, and consecration to Mary.
