Blue Ridge Welcomes Staff

With the new school year looming just over the horizon, the Blue Ridge School Board welcomed 2 new members of the professional staff at its August meeting on the 22nd.  Nicole Dvorshock will become the school psychologist, and Joseph Page is a new secondary math teacher.

River Fest Was A Resounding Success

You couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day, for kayaking or canoeing on our beautiful Susquehanna River, than on day one of the 1st Annual North Branch River Festival held on Saturday, August 20th. This event highlighted the designation of our North Branch of the Susquehanna River as “2016 River of the Year” and was co-sponsored by the “Friends of Starrucca Creek” and the “Susquehanna Community Development Association”. A sea of 64 colorful kayaks and canoes prepared to launch from the Pine Crest Campgrounds, near Windsor, New York, for a peaceful, 6-mile paddle down the sunlit waters to Victory Park, Oakland Township.
