Marian L. Glover

Marian L. Glover of Susquehanna, passed away peacefully May  19, 2016 after a brief illness. She was born July 13, 1930.

Marian was predeceased by her husband, Maynard Glover; son, Paul D. Glover; daughter, Diana M. Cook; grandson, Paul S. Glover; great – granddaughter, Erin K. Glover; parents, Jacob and Evelyn (Price) Stager; a sister and brother-in-law, Bernice and Boyd Bedford; and a son-in-law, Denny Mapes.

She is survived by a brother, John Stager, Ararat, PA; son, Steven R. and MaryJo Glover, Susquehanna, PA; a daughter, Mary Mapes, Deposit, NY; grandchildren, Tracie and Joe Shipsky, Steven M. and Jennifer Glover, Todd and Sharon Glover, Bridget and Gene Perry, Amanda Cook, Cullin and Stephanie Mapes, Kyle and Anne Cook, Nolan Mapes; son-in-law, Stuart Cook; 15 great - grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins and wonderful friends.

Marian was such a loving mom, grandma and friend. She was never without a quick smile and happy greeting for all she met. Even in her illness she never complained.

The love she had for her family was unconditional. She loved her “other family” at Turnpike Terrace where she made her home in her later years.

Marian had a strong work ethic while at Arrow Spinning and Varsity Mfg.

She loved to volunteer and was active with the Susquehanna Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, Meals on Wheels and Friends of Barnes Kasson.

Viewing was at Hennessey’s Funeral Home, 747 Jackson Ave. Susquehanna, PA, with a service offiliated by Kathleen Ackley.  Interment was in the Gelatt Cemetery, Gelatt, PA.

The family requests that any donations be made to “The Marian L. Glover Remembrance Fund” at Barnes Kasson Hospital, 2872 Turnpike St., Susquehanna, PA.

May Marian rest in God’s Eternal Peace.

Gary D. Watson

Gary D. Watson, of Ararat Township, PA, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 16, 2016, at his home after an illness.

Gary was predeceased by his parents, Lawrence and Marguerite (MacDonald) Watson and his loving wife, Roxanne (Seeley) Watson.

He was survived by his daughter, Patricia Watson and significant other, John Turner; grandchildren, Brady and Bridgett Towner and Landon Turner; brothers, James, Mark and Brian Watson; brother and sister-in-law’s, Robin and Johnny Reynolds and Debbie and Arthur Shelly; best friends, Gary Boughton, Richard Peltz and Mike Lewis; several nieces and nephews.

Gary grew up in Ogdensburg, NY, and lived on Black Lake until moving to Pennsylvania. He loved to spend time with his family and friends watching movies and telling stories. Gary was one of the smartest, most gentle loving souls anyone could ever meet. He will be dearly missed by all of his family and friends.

A Memorial mass was held Friday, May 20, 2016, at the St. John’s Church, Susquehanna, with Rev. David Cramer officiating.

Lillian Marie Gallagher

“Momma G”

On the morning of May 22nd, 2016, Lillian passed away after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her loving family with assistance from Lourdes Hospice.  Lillian was born in Elizabeth, NJ on December 10th, 1930 to Frank and Helen Seiler and was a resident of Susquehanna, PA for more than 40 years.

She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, shooting darts, bowling and playing bingo.  She was a member of the American Legion Post 86, the Susquehanna Fire Department Auxiliary and also involved in the Soldiers of Charity. 

She is the beloved mother to five children, daughter, Debra and husband, Wade Pleus of Kirkwood NY, Margaret and husband, Kevin Pero of Apalachian NY, son, Thomas Gallagher of Susquehanna PA, daughter, Kathleen and husband, Kevin Adamick of Holly Springs, NC and daughter, Karen and husband, Charles Lane of Endicott, NY.  She is also survived by brother, Paul Seiler of Rockaway, NJ and brother-in-law, Henry Joseph Werdann Sr. of Riverside FL., She is the proud Grandmother of 14 grandchildren, Christy Washburn, Wade Pleus Jr., Amber Pleus, Tommy Gallagher, Benjamin Bronson, Nickie Buchanan, Tom Buchanan, Jamie Gallagher, Josh Nelson, Katie Nelson, Mackenzie Adamick, Amber Buchanan, Alicia Lane and Vincent Lane and 8 great-grandchildren, Jolene, Jacob, Hunter, Aurora, Jada, Allissa, Jay and Shawn, as well as Aunt to many nieces and nephews. 

She is predeceased by her parents, devoted husband, Harold, brothers, Howard Seiler, Ben Seiler, Frank Seiler and sister, Margaret Werdann.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, May 26, 2016 at 10:30am, at the Hennessey’s Funeral Home, 747 Jackson Ave, Susquehanna, PA.

Interment will held in the St. John’s Cemetery, Susquehanna, PA.

The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 25, from 5 to 8pm.
