SWN Cleans Up

In recognition of Earth Day, 32 Southwestern Energy (SWN) employee volunteers participated in a variety of clean-up events throughout the area. These events included removing trash near Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission boat launches, PA Game Commission lands and other sites along State Route 1010/Harmony Road in Susquehanna County. Volunteers also partnered with the Pennsylvania Environmental Council to remove trash from two illegal dump sites in Gibson Township. In total, more than 2.5 tons of trash was removed and 115 tires were taken to a recycling facility. Pictured removing trash in South Gibson near SR 2067 and Township Road 405 are: (from left) Sue Rosetti, SWN Production Technician; Michael Sellito, SWN Field Operator II; Brandon Bichler, SWN Field Operator I, and Nik Mattocks, SWN Field Operator I.

Pet of the Week

Josie (top) and Riggs

Found as strays on Old Route 6, this lovely kitty couple have been waiting at True Friends for over a year to have that special someone look their way. Riggs, the handsome boy featured in the lower pic, had a severe injury to his tail which required an amputation.

Through tough times fending for themselves to being inseparable hopefuls at the shelter, we are hoping these two can continue their life journey together in a warm and caring home. Josie and Riggs are altered, FeLv,Fiv, HW negative, microchipped, and vaccinated. These two sweethearts are easy keepers, friendly, healthy, and ready to pack their bags to move right in with you.

True Friends has joined forces with Kindred Spirits & Eastern PA Animal Alliance to offer a low cost feline spay/ neuter clinic.  The date is June 2nd at our shelter.  More information and to make a reservation, please call #570-278-1228.  Trapped Feral Cats welcome!  Help us make a difference for our area's overwhelming population of homeless cats!

Fun Fact: Cats are extremely clean animals. They spend 1/3 of their "awake time" grooming. Just another reason to spend your time with a feline friend.
