Hillary and Bill Clinton---a Bonnie and Clyde retro-type of the 1930s gangster duo---first teamed up when Bill was elected governor of Arkansas in 1978 and 1993. Not surprisingly, his administration is viewed as corrupt as Boss Tweed's political machine, which bilked New York of massive sums of cash.
One of “Boss” Bill's lesser known scams is the infamous Blood Money Scandal.
Bill awarded Health Management Associates a contract to provide medical care to the state's prisoners. As part of the deal, HMA drew blood from volunteer inmates, who were paid a nominal amount. HMA then sold the blood as uncontaminated by HIV to overseas buyers.
In just one prison, about 6,000 units of blood were drawn and sold every week. The total amount of tainted blood palmed-off to customers is unknown as is the exact distribution of the millions generated by this blood-for-sale enterprise.
Did the Clintons profit from these sales? Try and prove it. Remember, they're both lawyers.
A well-grounded suspicion, then and now, is that as governor, Bill would look favorably on a petitioner's request in a quid pro quo deal in which Hillary would be the bag lady.
It seems that Tyson Foods, in return for Bill's efforts, gave Hillary an inside tip on cattle futures. Acting on this information, Arkansas' first lady bought a $1,000 future's contract and later sold it for $100,000.
The same scam is being worked today only in reverse. This time, the former president is the bag man and Hillary is the one in an influential political position.
Hillary was secretary of state from 2009 to 2013. From the time that Bill left the Oval Office in 2001 to 2013, Bill gave 542 speeches at an average of $200,000/speech. For some presentations, the golden-throat orator charged $350,000 to $450,000.
(As an aside, Hillary is no slouch in the speech-for-sale department. She and Bill banked $153 million from 2009-15, including a $675,000 thank you to Hillary from Goldman Sachs. Hillary's explanation for Goldman's largesse: “That's what they offered.”)
The gut feeling is that the over-the-top speaker's fee was an under-the-table payback for Hillary's influence.
Another racket is the Clinton Foundation.
The foundation was inaugurated in 2001. Since that time it has raised more than $2 billion from corporations, W Street, and foreign governments.
But, according to the Federalist, an online magazine, only 10 percent was given for charitable grants. That leaves $1.8 billion for foundation expenses. Last year, the New York Post reported that Bill Allison, a senior fellow at the Sunlight Foundation, said, “It seems like the Clinton Foundation operates as a slush fund for the Clintons.”
Now we come to one of the great unsolved mysteries of the universe: Why would Hillary ask for the support of a dishonest, disgraced, and disbarred shyster like William Jefferson Clinton? (She would have done better with Bill Cosby.)
It is undeniable that Bill is a womanizer as was LBJ and JFK. However, the difference is that Bill has a 30-year history of non-consensual sex, lewd behavior, shameful exposure, sexual abuse, and groping.
There are more than a dozen cases of gross sexual misconduct that involved criminal charges and headlines. We'll highlight the most notable:
• Eileen Wellstone, 1969. She claimed Clinton sexually assaulted her. Clinton countered saying it was consensual The victim's family declined to pursue the case.
• Juanita Broaddrick, 1978. She suffered a bruised and torn lip that occurred when Clinton raped her. After the rape, she was harassed by phone calls from Clinton asking when she was coming back to Arkansas.
• Carolyn Moffet, 1979. “I was escorted to a hotel room. When I went in he was sitting on a couch wearing only an undershirt. He pointed at his penis and [demanded a sex act]. I pulled away from him and ran out of the room.”
• Kathleen Willey, 1993. She reported that Bill grabbed and groped her. She told her story in a 60 Minutes interview and became the target of a White House smear campaign.
• Monica Lewinsky, 1995-97. Lewinsky admitted to nine consensual sexual encounters with then-President Clinton in the Oval Office. When the affair came to light, Bill emphatically denied it: “I did not have sex with that woman.” Later, DNA evidence proved he was lying.
• Paula Corbin, 1999. She sued then-President Clinton for sexual harassment. Clinton settled the case out of court for $850,000.
We shall never know how many women who were victimized by Bill who preferred anonymity to ignominity. But we do know enough to say that Bill was and is a sexual predator.
Nevertheless, Hillary welcomed help from such as he in her faltering campaign. What does this say about the other half of the crime family, Hillary Clinton?
