Iva M. Gaylord
Iva M. Gaylord, Lakewood, PA, passed away peacefully at her home on October 29, 2015.
She was born on September 9, 1915 in Jackson Township to the late Harry and Sadie Daniels.
She was predeceased by her husband of more than 50 years Earl H. Gaylord and two brothers and three sisters.
She is survived by three children and their families; Kathy and Ron Busch of Colorado; Carol Osborne of New Jersey and Robert and Sherry Gaylord of Florida, 13 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren and four great, great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and companion of many years Terry White.
Iva and her husband owned and operated a successful dairy farm in Jackson, PA. She also enjoyed her gardening, her crafts and was a talented seamstress. After retiring from farming, they traveled extensively in their motor home and they spent winters in Florida until losing her husband in 2001.
Iva will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
A funeral service was held on Monday, November 2, 2015, at the Hennessey’s Funeral Home, 747 Jackson Ave., Susquehanna, PA, with Pastor Joe Travis officiating.
Burial will be in the Lakeview Cemetery, Lakeview, PA.
FREDERICK L. STONE
Frederick L. Stone, 86, of North Jackson, PA entered into rest on October 27, 2015. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Helen Stone.
Fred is also survived by five sons, James and Mary Stone, Jack and Patti Stone, Robert and Karen Stone, Gary and Barb Stone, and Roger and Laura Stone; 11 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; one sister, Elfrieda Lee; three brothers, Joseph and Ella Mae Stone, Raymond Stone, David Stone; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Jeanette Wheeler, brothers, Albert Stone, Louie Stone, Buddy Stone, and Benny Stone.
Fred was self employed as a building contractor. Over the span of his career he built over 50 fireplaces and many homes. Fred was a skilled mason and carpenter. He loved to travel by motorcycle and RVs. Fred was a proud veteran serving during the Korean Conflict as a Sergeant with the Army. He was a member of the North Jackson United Methodist Church since 1951.
A memorial service was held Saturday, October 31, 2015 at the North Jackson United Methodist Church. A private inurnment will take place in Ararat Cemetery.
