October 21

BREAKFAST: Sun., Oct. 21, Pancake & Sausage Breakfast, Thompson Hose Company, 8:00-11:00 a.m. All are welcome!

OPEN HOUSE: Sun., Oct. 21, 1:00 – 4:00 p.m., Clifford Twp. Historical Society’s Hoover School and Local History Museum Open House. This will be the last open house for the season. For more info. Contact Cliffordpa.com or Peltz@nep.net.

October 28

BREAKFAST: Sun., Oct. 28, 8:00 – 12:00 p.m., Greenfield Volunteer Fire Company serving pancakes, eggs, bacon, coffee, tea and juice. Breakfast will be free for children 12 and under dressed in their Halloween Costumes.

October 27

SUPPER: Sat., Oct. 27, 5:00 p.m., Roast Beef Supper, Thompson UM Church. All are welcome!

PARTY: Sat., Oct. 27, 6:30 p.m., Halloween Party at Starrucca Community Hall. Parade starts at 7:00 p.m. Everyone Welcome!

DINNER: Sat., Oct. 27, 4:30 p.m., Buffet Dinner, Gibson UM Church, Turkey, Ham, Meatballs, Pies, Much more! Take outs available.

PARADE: Sat., Oct. 27, 13th Annual Parade of Lights, Parade starts at 6:30 p.m. Parade line-up at 5:30 p.m. at north end of town at Cosmello’s, New Milford, PA. House decorating contest, call 465-3512 to register. Costume Contest at 5:00 p.m.

November 3

DANCE: Sat., Nov. 3, 7:00 – 10:00 p.m., St. Bonaventure Cemetary Assoc. will be having a Harvest Dance with the Roger Furman Band at the casino on Church St., Meshoppen. Refreshments, Door Prizes, Raffles.

DINNER: Sat., Nov. 3, 4:00 – 6:30 p.m., Shehawken UM Women will hold Oyster & Beef Stew Dinner at Shehawken UM Church. All are invited. No takeouts available.

CLEAN UP DAY: Sat., Nov. 3, 10:00 a.m., Fall Clean Up Day at the Lakeview Cemetary in Jackson Twp.

DINNER: Sat., Nov. 3, Nicholson UM Church is having Family Style Turkey Dinner with all the trimmings. Takeouts available at 3:30 p.m. and dining room service will start at 4:00 p.m. For more info call Donna at 942-6677.

Senior Center Menu October 22- 26

Mon. Oct. 22: breaded chicken w/lemon butter cream sauce, roasted potatoes, steamed spinach, ww dinner roll, orange.

Tues. Oct. 23: roast turkey, roasted brussel sprouts, sweet potatoes, pumpkin pie, cranberry sauce.

Wed. Oct. 24: herbed whitefish, rice pilaf, green & wax beans, ww dinner roll, diced pears.

Thurs. Oct. 25: spaghetti & meatballs, italian wedding soup, garden salad, italian bread, lemon sorbet.

Fri. Oct. 26: beef stew, noodles, ww bread, sherbet, pineapple juice.

Mt. View Distinguished Alumni Dinner Set

The Mt. View School Distinguished Alumni Dinner/Program will be held October 20 at The View Restaurant, Clifford, PA. A reception will be held at 5:00 p.m. with dinner 6:00 p.m. followed by the program.

Program honorees will be: Duane Ely, MVHS 1961; Roger Hayden, MVHS 1964; John McNulty, MVHS 1971; Kerri Pratt, MVHS 2000. Mt. View students Paige Belcher, Owen Flannery, Victoria Sterling and Colby Thomas will be presenting honorees.

Special music will be provided by the Mt. View Elementary Chimettes.

All are welcome to join the Alumni Association in honoring these four graduates for their accomplishments in business, research, education, leadership, music, sports and community service.
