Gary D. Wood, 72, of Elk Lake, PA passed away, Thursday, February 16, 2012 at Endless Mountains Health Systems, Montrose, PA. Born September 17, 1939 in Laceyville, PA, he was the son of the late Ora E. and Ruth [Benscoter] Wood.

He owned and was an operator of milk trucks. He enjoyed hunting.

Survivors include significant other, Josephine Newhart; sons, David A. Newhart of Montrose, PA, Terry A. Newhart of Elk Lake; grandsons, Matthew, Bryan, Zachary, and Justin; 2 great-grandsons; brother and sister-in-law, Norman and Sharon Wood of Laceyville, PA; niece and a nephew.
