Elya Spolar Receives Honors

Elya Spolar, a Biology major from Montrose, PA, was named to the Dean's List for the Spring 2010 semester at Widener University in Chester, PA. The Dean's List recognizes full-time students who earned a grade point average of 3.50 and above for the semester.

Jonathan Norton Receives Honors

GRANTHAM, PA - Nicholson resident Jonathan Norton was named to the dean's list for the 2010 spring semester at Messiah College. Norton is a junior majoring in business administration. Dean's list is earned by receiving a 3.6 GPA or higher on a 4.0 scale.

U Of S Announces Spring Dean's List

The University of Scranton has announced its Dean's List, which recognizes students for academic excellence during the 2010 spring semester. A student must have a grade point average of 3.5 or better with a minimum number of credit hours to make the Dean's List. The list includes students from the College of Arts and Sciences, the Kania School of Management, the Panuska College of Professional Studies and the College of Graduate and Continuing Education.

Wilkes University Announces Dean's List

Wilkes University Provost Reynold Verret announces the Dean's List for the Spring 2010 Semester. To be named to the Dean's List, students must obtain a minimum 3.4 GPA and carry at least 12 credits.

Kaitlyn Jane Adam Receives Diploma

NORRISTOWN, PA - The Pennsylvania Virtual Charter School is proud to announce the graduation of the 2009-2010 high school class with 150 graduates from 43 counties in Pennsylvania. Graduation ceremonies were held June 5 at Four Points by Sheraton, Harrisburg, PA. Susquehanna County resident, Kaitlyn Jane Adam, was among the graduates.

Autumn Carpenter Receives Honors

Autumn Carpenter of Montrose, PA has been named to the dean's list at Paul Smith's College for the spring 2010 semester. Carpenter, who is majoring in fisheries and wildlife sciences, is enrolled in the college's School of Forestry and Natural Resources and earned a semester average of 3.3 or higher to receive this distinction.

Garden Club Awards Book Scholarships

Linda Whitney, representative of the Mountain View Garden Club Scholarship Committee, presented Colleen Haley and Alexandra Coolican five hundred dollar book scholarships at recent awards ceremonies at Mountain View High School and Forest City Regional High School.

Colleen (pictured above with Linda Whitney) is the daughter of Charles and Maloney Haley, Clifford Twp., is a graduate of Mountain View High School, and will attend Costal Carolina University majoring in Marine Science.

Alexandra (pictured above with Linda Whitney) is the daughter of Christopher and Gretchen Coolican, Uniondale, graduated from Forest City Regional High School, and will attend Marywood University majoring in Biotechnology.
