Arthur R. "Archie" Gillett

Arthur R. "Archie" Gillett, 74 of New Milford, PA was called home to be with the Lord on June 29, 2018 with his family by his side. He is survived by his loving wife of almost 54 years, Sharon.

Art is also survived by his children, Lisa and Tony Nanni, and Rose and Rick Jones; two grandchildren, Nicole Nanni and Steven Brunner, and Anthony Nanni and Michayla Berard; siblings, Diana Howard and Patricia Gillett; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved companion dog, Jasmine.

He was predeceased by his cherished grandmother, Alice Gillett; his parents, George Gillett Sr. and Leah (Gillett) Rice; siblings, George Gillett Jr., Richard Gillett, and Donald Gillett.

Art was a proud veteran, serving with the US Navy on the USS Roberts DE749. He was a Life Member of the American Legion Post #357. He was a machinist by trade and worked for many years at Magnetic Laboratories. Art, known by many other names, was always the life of the party with a constant smile on his face. He had PERSONALITY. Art was always putting others first, regardless of what he was going through. His heart found peace with the Lord along with his church family in the Franklin Hill Presbyterian Church.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm, Saturday, July 14, 2018 at his beloved Franklin Hill Presbyterian Church, followed by military honors.

Private internment will take place in New Milford Cemetery at a later date.

Friends may call from 11-1 at the Tuttle-Yeisley Funeral Home, Inc., Hallstead, PA, prior to the service on Saturday.
