Austin R. Wheeler

Austin R. Wheeler, 81, of Susquehanna, PA passed away on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at his home after an illness.

He was predeceased by his parents, Linus and Ruby Wheeler; brothers, John, Leon, Richard, and Harold Wheeler; sisters, Jean Gross, Mary Plutino and Josephine Burdick, and his partner, Werner David Block.

Austin is survived by his sister, Viola Allen several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He graduated from the Susquehanna Consolidated High School in 1954. Following his graduation Austin moved to Chicago where he worked as a tailor until his retirement. After retiring he moved back to Susquehanna, PA where he enjoyed gardening and playing his “Baby Grand” Piano. He will be dearly missed by all of his family.

At Austin’s request there will be no Funeral Services.

Arrangements by Hennessy’s Funeral Home 747 Jackson Avenue, Susquehanna PA.

Earl L “Roy” Witter

Earl L. “Roy” Witter, 71, of Great Bend, PA passed away peacefully on March 1, 2018.  He is the son of the late Raymond Witter and Gladys Vandeymark.

Roy is survived by his daughter, Rebecca Witter and husband Daniel Brown; a step-son, Patrick Miller; a grandson, Christopher Brown; a step-brother, Richard and Tracy Witter; a step-sister, Lorraine Witter; an aunt, Dorothy Vandeymark; two ex wives, Patty Noyes and Nancy Witter; and many cousins and wonderful friends.

Roy retired from Waste Management and was a frequent bar tender at the Country Lounge.  He was known as the “Bud Man” when he worked at Rocco Testani.  He loved his motorcycle days and always made sure you had a good day.  “Who loves you, baby?”

At Roy’s request there will be no services.
