Robert Allen Soules

Robert Allen Soules, 54, of Susquehanna, PA, passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at home surrounded by his family and friends.

Bob was born on February 26, 1963 the son of the late Muriel Evelyn Soules. He was predeceased by his brothers, James and Eugene Krahwinkle.

Bob is survived by his brother, Kenny and Holly Soules; sisters, Tonya and Damion Scales, Penny and Bill VanScoy, Mary and Roger French, Marylu and Pete Bowman, Marcia Daniels and Marquita Smith-Hawkins; and long-time girlfriend, Anne LaBarre.

Bob also had several nieces and nephews who loved him dearly and will miss him. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Susquehanna, PA. Bob loved everything and everyone, including his cat, Pixie. “Don’t forget the tutus”

The family will be holding a private service at a later date in the spring. Arrangements will be made by the Hennessy Funeral Home, 747 Jackson Ave. Susquehanna, PA.

Dorothy Feduchak

Dorothy Feduchak, 89, of Lenox Twp., died Saturday evening, December 9, 2017 at Hospice of the Sacred Heart in Dunmore. She was the widow of Leo J. Feduchak, who just passed away on Nov. 15, 2017. They were married for 68 years.

Surviving are two daughters, Arlene O’Malley, Blakely, and her children, Kevin O’Malley and his son, Kevin O’Malley Jr., Shawn O’Malley and Mindy, and Cal Condo; and Lisa Feduchak-Taylor, Kingsley, and her daughters, Alix and Morgan Taylor; five sons, Leon “Butch” Feduchak and his children, Keith and Kathy, Renee and Shannon, L.B. Feduchak and his wife, Mary, and Amy; Richard Feduchak and his wife, Marlene, and their children, Richard Jr., and Nicole DePhillips and her husband, Rob; Tim Feduchak and his wife, Kelly, and their sons, Zack and Zeb Feduchak; Greg Feduchak and his wife, Michelle, and their son, Michael and his fiancée, Shaya; and Gary Feduchak and Vicki, and her son, Jonathan, all of Lenox.

The funeral was held Thursday, December 14, from the Charles H. Litwin Funeral Home, 91 State St., Nicholson, PA. Interment will be in West Lenox Cemetery.

Anthony L. (Tony) Napolitano

Anthony L. (Tony) Napolitano 87, of Hurst, TX, formally of Susquehanna, PA, passed away on Sunday, December 17, 2017.

Tony is predeceased by the mother of his children, Barbara; his parents, Louis and Anna; 5 brothers and 2 sisters.

He is survived by his son, Robert Napolitano, San Juan Pr.; daughters, Toni Perkins and husband, Tim, Apalachin, NY. Peg Napolitano and wife, Maria, Great Bend, PA, Shelia Elizondo and husband, Rush, Hurst, TX; grandson, Jeff Owens and wife, Becky, Endwell NY; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Tony was employed for over 40 years at the Erie Lackawanna and Conrail Railroads. He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church, Susquehanna, Pa, a lifelong member of the American Legion post 86 Susquehanna, Pa, VFW post 6223 Great Bend, Pa. and the VFW of Inverness, Fl. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and was a member of the Korean War Veterans organization of Beverly Hills, Fl. Tony had many passions, one of which was the naming of the Susquehanna bridge and serving as chairman of the Susquehanna County Veteran's Memorial Bridge Committee.

H. Patricia “Pat” Barnes

Patricia “Pat” Barnes, 77, of Susquehanna, PA passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, December 11, 2017 at the Barnes Kasson Hospital in Susquehanna, PA.

She was born in Susquehanna, daughter of the late Robert and Mary (Bayless) Welch. She currently attended the Susquehanna United Methodist Church. She was predeceased by her husband, Stephen C. Barnes. Together they operated S.C. Barnes and Son Feed Mill in Starrucca PA. After Steve passed away, she moved back to Susquehanna and was employed by Barnes Kasson Hospital and Health Centers, from which she retired.

Pat was also predeceased by her sisters, Sheila Hamby, Christine “Joan” Ksenich and Michele “Mike” Lankford; and her brother, Gerald “Jerry” Welch.

She is survived by her loving children, Stephen “Steve” Barnes and his wife, Diane of Macungie, PA and Kim (Barnes) and husband, Warner “Chip” Burdick of Susquehanna; grandchildren, which were “most precious to her”, Hattie and Claire Barnes and Kasey, Abby and Andrew Burdick; her faithful dog, “Brin” who kept her company and watched over her.

Also surviving are sisters, Mary Roberta Welch of Conklin, NY, Peggy and David Soden, Starrucca, PA, and Connie and John Gawron of Ellenton, FL; her brother, Robert Welch of Del Ray Beach, FL; brother-in-law, Gary Lankford of Susquehanna, PA; sister-in-law, Dorothy and Harvey Boughner of Treverton, PA; former sisters-in-law, Mary Salazar of FL, and Sylvia Welch, FL; as well as cousins, many nieces and nephews.

Pat enjoyed her family and friends, most of all the cottage at Shehawken Lake. In the past, Pat was always an avid church member. She participated in PTA when raising their children. She was a member of the Pleasant Valley Drift Riders Snowmobile Club and the Monday Club. She loved people and helped the needy whenever necessary. She was a proud member of the Susquehanna Consolidated High School Class of 1957. Her love of music always prevailed. She will be dearly missed by all of her family and friends.

The family wishes to express their deepest thanks to Dr. Bhupendra Patel, Dr. Pravinchandra Patel, and Dr. Francis Schell for Pat’s care. Also, the staff and employees of Barnes Kasson Hospital were so gracious in giving their personal care to Pat; it will never be forgotten.

A Funeral Service was held on Friday, December 15, 2017 at the Susquehanna United Methodist Church, Susquehanna, PA with Rev. Vincent Chiaramonte officiating.

Interment will be held in the Starrucca Cemetery, Strarrucca, PA.

Arrangements by the Hennesy's Funeral Home, 747 Jackson Ave., Susquehanna, PA.

E. Gail Hanrahan

Gail Hanrahan, 71, of Main St. Lanesboro , PA, passed away at her home on Sunday, December 10, 2017 after an illness.

She was predeceased by her parents, Lestley and Edna Lake, and sister, Judy Lake Gay.

Gail is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Larry J. Hanrahan; two children, Larry J. and Joyce Hanrahan, of Conklin, NY and Elaine and Mike Aldrich of Susquehanna, PA; brothers, Richard and Mary Lake, Edward and Geri Lake, Thomas and Joni Lake, cousin, Robert and Jean Spangenberg; sisters, Celeste and Donald Kowalewski, Brenda Lake, Jacquelin and Randy Gilbert, Leslie and Charles Marble step sister, Shirley and Thomas Puglesi; brother-in-law, Robert Gay; grandchildren, Maura, Ethan, Jordan, Dylan and Haley; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Gail worked as a book keeper for 50 years, 29 of those being at Binghamton Truck and Body. She also was Tax Collector and Secretary for Lanesboro for several years.  She enjoyed reading, plants, cooking and taking care of others. Gail spent time volunteering as a member of the Susquehanna Fire Department and American Legion Post 86 Women’s Auxiliaries. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister who will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Per Gail’s request there will be no funeral services.
