DECEMBER 20

ADVENT ORGAN MEDITATION: Featuring Evelyn and Richard Van Auken at the First Presbyterian Church of Montrose at noon, followed by a soup luncheon.

DECEMBER 23

FREE DINNER: The United Methodist Community Church, on Main Street, Great Bend, PA, will be holding a “Caring Café” free community dinner, from 4 pm - 6 pm. Take a moment to relax with family and friends. Join us this Christmas season for fellowship and music by Carl and Friends.

DECEMBER 24

CANDLELIGHT SERVICE: The Thompson United Methodist Church will be holding their annual Christmas Eve candlelight service at 7 p.m. on Sunday, December 24, 2017. The service will include communion, scripture readings, hymns and special music to celebrate the birth of Jesus. This service is open to the community, and all are welcomes to attend!

DECEMBER 31

FIRST KNIGHT: Windsor's First Knight celebration will take place at 6pm, December 31st, 2017 and run until the early morning of January 1st, 2018. With more than a dozen venues, all kinds of food and events, there is something for everyone to enjoy. Volunteers for the event are welcome, call Elaine at 655-3399 for more information.

JANUARY 2

COUNTRY STYLE BREAKFAST: Starting the 2nd Sunday of January and continuing though March, The South Creek Lions Club will be holding breakfasts from 7am-10:30am. The menu includes eggs, pancakes, sausage, bacon and sausage gravy, home fries along with coffee, orange juice. Doors open 7am, located on Route 14 in Gillett. JANUARY 20

BREAKFAST FOR LIFE: Melissa Ohden will be speaking at this year’s Breakfast for Life, an event honoring the memory of Cindi Conaty and benefiting her memorial scholarship fund, which provides a $1,000 scholarship to a graduating high school senior in Susquehanna County each year. The event takes place on January 20th at 9 am at the Montrose Bible Conference in Montrose, Pa. Breakfast is free, but donations are accepted. MISTLETOE BALL: “Call of the Wild” is the theme of the 77th Auxiliary Mistletoe Ball this year. Wear your faux fur, and wildest dancing shoes, while you let your inner animal roar! Saturday, January 20th at Silver Birches in Tafton. Event includes dinner, dancing, a basket raffel and more. Proceeds benefit the Wayne Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.
