OCTOBER 18

CHICKEN N BISCUIT DINNER:  The Clifford United Methodist Church, Main Street, Clifford, will be having a Chicken-n-Biscuit or Ham Dinner on Wednesday, October 18th, from 4PM to 6PM. It will include dinner, drink and dessert. Take-Out will also be available.

SOCIAL MEDIA CLASS: Alex Charles will be instructing a class on how to navigate social media (facebook, twitter, etc.). The class will be held at the Gardner-Warner Post 154, PA American Legion, Montrose, from 4PM to 6PM on Wednesday, October 18th.

FREE LUNCH: St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, located on St. Rt 92 and 492, Jackson, will be having a free parish and community lunch on Wednesday, October 18th. The lunch will be from 12PM to 1:30PM and will include, stuffed cabbage, roll, dessert and beverage. Reservations are required, please call Joanne at 570-727-3441

OCTOBER 20

TRUNK OR TREAT: The East Ararat Methodist Church will be having a trunk or treat on Friday, Oct. 20th. The event is from 6PM to 8PM, refreshments will be available.

OCTOBER 21

HARVEST DINNER: The East Ararat Methodist Church will be holding a Harvest Dinner on Saturday, October 21. Take-out will be available from 3:30PM to 4:30PM. Dine-in, will begin at 5PM. Turkey, potato's, veggies, beets, homemade pies, stuffing and more will be featured. The church is located on 370, off of route 171. TURKEY SUPPER: The First United Methodist Church, located on Pratt Street, New Milford, will be having a Turkey Super with all the trimmings on Saturday, October 21. The dinner will begin at 4:30PM, until all are served. Take-out will also be available.

OCTOBER 26

BLOOD DRIVE: Due to the latest tragedies there is a need to replenish the blood supply. St. Marks Church, located in New Milford, PA, will be holding a Community Blood Drive on Thursday, October 26th. The hours are from 1:30PM to 6:30PM.

OCTOBER 28

FREE LUNCH: The Stone Soup Kitchen of Christ Church, located on the corner of Delaware and Dundaff Street, Forest City, is having its free monthly community luncheon on Saturday, October 28th. The hours are from 12PM to 1:30PM. All are welcome!

CARING CAFE: The United Methodist Community Church, located on Main St., Great Bend, will be having it's Caring Cafe on Saturday, October 28. The Caring Café, which is a free community dinner, will be from 4PM to 6PM. All are welcome, enjoy food, fellowship, and music! Meal provided by St. Lawrence Catholic Church. Dinner music by Carl and Friends.

GUN RAFFLE: The Thompson Hose Co. will be having it's gun raffle on Saturday, Oct. 28th starting at 5:30PM. You must call 570-442-1107 to get a ticket to enter into the raffle. Tickets will be available at the door, but will not enter you into the raffle. There will be basket raffles and free food/drink. Anyone wanting to donate a basket can call 570-442-1038.

ROAST BEEF SUPPER: The Thompson United Methodist Church, 586 Main Street, Thompson, will be having a roast beef supper on Saturday, Oct. 28th. Take-out is at 4:30PM and dine-in begins at 5PM. All are welcome!

OCTOBER 29

HALLOWEEN PARTY: The Gardner-Warner Post 154, PA American Legion in Montrose will be having a Halloween Party on Sunday, October 29. The party is from 1PM to 3PM for ages 10 and under. There will be games, prizes and fun!

Singspiration: The First Baptist Church, Main St., New Milford will be having a singspiration starting at 6PM. Please bring a dessert to share. All are welcome to enjoy a time of singing.

OCTOBER 31

TRUNK or TREAT: The Thompson Hose Co. annual Trunk or Treat will be Tuesday, October 31st from 6PM to 8PM at the fire station. There will be free refreshments and smoke alarms. Anyone wanting to participate can call 570-442-1107.

TRICK or TREAT: Thompson Borough will be celebrating Halloween on Tuesday, October 31, from 6PM to 8M.

Senior Center Menu, Oct 23-27

Monday: Breaded Pork Chop, Carrots. Cabbage and Noodles and Spice Cake.

Tuesday: Roast Turkey, Roasted Sweet Potatoes, Green Bean Casserole, Bread Stuffing and Spiced Peaches.

Wednesday: Baked Spaghetti, Tossed Salad, Italian Vegetable Medley and Sorbet.

Thursday: Chicken Paprikash, Cauliflower and Carrots, Buttered Noodles, Whole Wheat Roll and Orange.

Friday: Stuffed Cabbage Rolls, Mashed Potatoes, Green Beans, Whole Wheat Roll and Cottage Cheese with Berries.
