The Gibson Charge, comprised of the South Gibson (SGUMC) and the Gibson (GUMC) United Methodist Churches, is busy with outreach, discipleship and Sunday School opportunities.  The GUMC rounded out another successful week selling great items in their booth at the Harford Fair.  They support several ministries including the Heifer project, local food banks and others to help people near and far.

The SGUMC is already planning for its annual fundraiser – the delicious Harvest Dinner.  This year the dinner will be held on October 7th, from 3-7 PM and will offer dine-in or take-outs featuring roast turkey and homemade pies!  The SGUMC supports several community-minded ministries as well as global outreach, and seeks to welcome all who visit or are looking for a church with open doors and open hearts.

The SGUMC begins weekly Sunday School on September 10th, at 10:15 AM.  Children ages 4 and up are welcome to learn about Jesus and have lots of fun!  The GUMC kicks off Sunday School with a Rally Day on September 10th, at the 10:30 AM worship service.  Classes begin September 17th, at 9:15 AM each Sunday. 

Sunday worship is at 9 AM, at SGUMC and at 10:30 AM, at GUMC.  This Thanksgiving, join us for a special service at Gibson UMC, at 7 PM.  Each Wednesday, join a “Renewal Group”, at 7 PM at GUMC.
