Hannah Phillips, of Clifford, was inducted into the Alpha Lambda Delta first-year honor society at Susquehanna University for its 2016-17 academic year.
The purpose of this national honor society is to encourage superior scholastic achievement among students during their first year in institutions of higher education; to promote intelligent living and a continued high standard of learning; and to assist students in recognizing and developing meaningful goals for their unique roles in society. The Susquehanna chapter was established in 1976.
Phillips is a creative writing-secondary education major at Susquehanna in Class of 2020. A 2016 graduate of Mountain View Jr/Sr High School, she is the daughter of Mark Phillips and Suzanne Phillips.
Hunter Quigg of Montrose was named to the dean's list at Bates College for the fall semester ending in April 2017. This is a distinction earned by students whose cumulative grade point average is 3.71 or higher.
Quigg, the son Scott J. Quigg of Montrose, PA., is a 2016 graduate of Deerfield Academy.
Dr. Alice M. Davis, Executive Director of the Susquehanna County Career and Technology Center, is pleased to announce that Rose Warner, a member of the SCCTC chapter of the Future Business Leaders of America attended the 2017 Pennsylvania FBLA National Leadership Conference held in Anaheim, California from June 27th to July 3rd.

During the conference, Rose had the opportunity to compete in the Accounting I competition. To qualify for the National Conference, Rose placed 4th out of 97 students in the Accounting I event at the State Leadership Conference held in April, at the Hershey Lodge and Convention Center.
The Future Business Leaders of America is a national career and technical student organization whose mission is to bring business and education together in a positive working relationship through innovative leadership and career development programs. The members of the SCCTC chapter are a part of the Pennsylvania membership of approximately 13,800 in nearly 290 schools and a national membership of over 214,000 members and more than 5,250 chapters.
