FREE WOOD CHIPS

The Montrose Borough has an abundance of wood chips they are offering to the public at no charge. Free delivery to Borough residents. If interested, please contact Street Department Supervisor, Ken DiPhillips at 570-278-2442 Ext. 2.

JULY 12

HEALING MASS: St. John the Evangelist Church will be holding a healing mass on July 12 at 7PM. The church is located at 15 East Church Street, Susquehanna, PA. All are welcomed to attend.

YOUNG AT HEART: Seniors and their friends are invited to join us for a program on missions with Dr. Gary Russell. Program begins at 10:30am followed by lunch. $10 per person. This event will be held on our Locust Grove Campus in Dreyer Lodge. Please make your reservation at 570-278-1001.

12TH ANNUAL YARD & BAKE SALE: On Saturday, July 15 from 8:00 AM-2:00 PM at Colonial Brick Inn and Suites, on Route 11, Great Bend, PA. Benefits Gill Chapter #12, ORDER OF THE EASTERN STAR

LAVENDER FESTIVAL: The Self Discovery Wellness Center in Montrose, PA, will be holding the Lavender Festival on July 15th from 11AM to 4PM. The event will feature lavender home-made ice cream, baked delights, dark chocolate lavender truffles, lemonade, ice tea and cold brewed coffee; lavender plants, garden plants, dried bundles, lavender products, vendors, raffle basket, music, drumming, TaiChi demo and other entertainment. MONTROSE CHRISTIAN WRITERS CONFERENCE: New and experienced writers will be spiritually renewed as they sharpen their word-smithing skills and learn about Christian publishing at this annual conference. JULY 19

CHICKEN N BISCUIT/HAM DINNER: The Clifford United Methodist Church, located on Main Street, Clifford, will be hosting a chicken n-biscuit or ham dinner, on Wednesday July 19. You can dine-in or take-out, from 4PM to 6PM. It includes dinner, dessert and a drink. Donations are welcome.

JULY 20

HAM SUPPER: Thursday, July 20th, the Starrucca Baptist Church will be having a ham and scalloped potato supper. Serving starts at 5PM, all are welcome.

SUMMER THEATER: Mountain View Theater group proudly presents the Summer Theater Showcase, which includes Super Dead Man, Superhero Support Group, Stage Combat, Improvisation, Five Days in May and The Accident. The show starts at 7PM, on Thursday, July 20th at the Mountain View Elementary Auditorium.

July 21

CRUISE-IN: 5 pm – 8 pm, United Methodist Community Church, Main Street, Great Bend, PA. Rain or Shine. Enjoy the vehicles on display or bring your own! Cars, trucks, motorcycles; anything with wheels is welcome. Music by Blue Velvet Big Band. People’s Choice Awards, Scavenger Hunt, spiedies, ice cream, baked goods. FREE LUNCHEON: Free Community Luncheon at Christ Episcopal Church, located at Corner Delaware and Dundaff Streets, Forest City, PA. The lunch is from 12PM to 1:30PM on Saturday, July 22. All are welcome.

JULY 27

PANCAKE SUPPER: St. John The Evangelist Church will be holding a pancake supper on Thursday, July 27th. It will be held from 5PM to 7PM, at the St. John’s Parish Hall, 15 East Church Street, Susquehanna, PA. The dinner will include, regular and gluten free pancakes, eggs, sausage, homefries, applesauce, beverage and dessert.

JULY 28

MOVIE NIGHT: St. Lawrence Church presents movie night on the green on Friday, July 28, located at 380 Franklin Street, Great Bend PA. The featured movie will be 2017 Beauty and the Beast, presented on a jumbo screen tv. Admission is free and will be a great night out for all ages. Bring a lawn chair or blanket along with your favorite snacks. Movie starts at dusk. Rain date is July 29.

Monday: Cheeseburger. Potato Salad, Confetti Coleslaw and Fresh Apple Slices.

Tuesday: Roast Turkey, Brussel Sprouts, Buttered Carrots, Bread Stuffing and Pumpkin Mousse.

Wednesday: BBQ Pork Loin, Mashed Potatoes, Green and Wax Beans, Whole Wheat Roll and Sugar Cookie.

Thursday: Steak Diane with Grilled Onions, Boiled Potatoes, Roasted Beets and Carrots, Whole Wheat Roll, Pears and Apricots.

Friday: Chicken Bacon Ranch Salad, Onion Soup, Crackers and Strawberry-Banana Gelatin.
