Among rightists these days, one of the biggest burrs under their saddles is the issue of free speech. Some are under the delusion that they have an affirmative entitlement to be listened to, to be hosted. This is the point of Milo Yiannopoulos, professional troll and dubious free speech poster boy.
It gets worse. Apparently some think that it violates their Constitutional rights if anybody should disagree with them. This is the case with Jeremy Christian, an almost certain Trump fan who was extremely miffed when people disagreed with him. So miffed that he knifed three who dared, and felt extremely righteous doing so.
But Freedom of Speech does not include freedom of stabbing-- not even of those lousy Liberal snowflakes. Don't they have free speech rights, too? For the record, Freedom of Speech only means the government can't arrest you for it. Period.
And let's take a look at that speech which some demand to spew out without dissent. Jeremy Christian was verbally abusing two teenage girls as suspected Muslims. It's the "right" to be insulting, to be abusive, to be racist without consequence that they insist on, and get bent out of shape when they don't get. Like babies.
Frankly, I'm surprised Mr. Christian hasn't been made a hero by FOX News and right-wing talk radio. But is that really what they should be fighting (and stabbing) for? I fear Rightists are becoming domestic terrorists, only that word will never be applied to them. It might as well be.
But hey, feel free to disagree. My only weapon is logic, and though sharp it's not as dirty pool as a knife or gun.
Sincerely,
