MARCH 9

Back to The 80's: March 9th, 10th, and 11th at the Norman J. Maza Auditorium of Mt. View High School, Kingsley at 7pm. The musical features such popular 80's hits as “Wake Me UP Before You Go-Go”, “Girls Just Want To Have Fun”, “You Give Love A Bad Name”, “The Time Of My Life” and many more.

MARCH 11

Whooo Gives A Hooot?: Saturday, March 11 at 7PM at Salt Springs Park, after a short presentation on owls by Nancy Wottrich, we'll wander a hopefully moonlit woods “calling” some in.

Spaghetti and Homemade Meatballs Dinner: Saturday, March 11 from 4pm- 7pm at the KOC Hall, 65 Kilrow St., Great Bend, PA. Menu includes salad, bread, homemade dessert and beverages. Take outs available.

Soup Supper: Saturday, March 11 from 4:00pm – 6:30pm at the Lake Como United Methodist Church, 377 Como Road, Lake Como, PA. Enjoy a variety of homemade soups, chili, salad, bread, homemade pie and ice cream for dessert. Take outs are available. Cost is free willing offering. All are invited. Proceeds to benefit the Parsonage Committee.

Good News Lunch: Saturday, March 18 starting at Noon at the St. Marks Church, New Milford, PA. Free meal, all are welcome.

Chicken and Biscuit Dinner: Saturday, March 18 from 4:30pm – 7:30pm at the Thompson Hose Co. all you can eat chicken and biscuit dinner.

Community Neighbors Connecting: Tuesday, March 21 from Noon to 2pm at St. Marks Community Center, Main St New Milford PA. Movie Day! Showing Florence Foster Jenkins, bring a sandwich, popcorn and drinks provided. Free. Every adult Susquehanna County neighbor is invited.

Homemade Easter Egg: Wednesday, March 29 the eggs will be available for pick up on March 25th and April 1st at the Clifford United Methodist Church. To place an order, please call Robin Correll at 570-222-4344 or Lisa Bahrite at 570-222-5493.

Lenten Service: Wednesday, March 29 at 12:00pm at the Thomson United Methodist Church. Following the Lenten Service will be a soup/bread and dessert lunch as part of the Susquehanna Area Church ministry. All are welcome.

APRIL 1

13th Annual All-You-Can-Eat Breakfast: Saturday, April 1 from 7am to 10am at the United Methodist Community Church, Main St. Great Bend, PA. Ham and home fries, out “Famous” breakfast sausage, pancakes, scrambled eggs, biscuits and sausage gravy, danish, fruit and beverages. Proceeds benefit UMCC Youth Group Trip to Kingdom Bound Christian Festival.

APRIL 8

Spring Dinners: Saturday, April 8th Roast Beef and Ham. Sunday, April 9th Roast Beef and Turkey, both to take place at the South Creek Lions Club in Gillett off Rout 14 at 4:30p. Dinners include “real” mashed potatoes, vegetables, baked beans and home baked bread.

MONDAY: Pork and peppers, broccoli and carrots, brown rice, crackers, brownies.

TUESDAY: Taco salad, chuckwagon corn, vegetable salad, crackers, diced peaches.

WEDNESDAY: BBQ chicken sandwich, tomato basil soup, broccoli slaw, wheat roll, sorbet.

THURSDAY: Lemon pepper pork loin, new potatoes, broccoli and cauliflower, wheat roll, sugar cookie.

FRIDAY: Crispy baked fish, green beans, stewed tomatoes, macaroni and cheese, crackers, fresh fruit salad.

Lourdes Hospital Hosts Diabetes Edu Fair

Lourdes is hosting a Diabetes Education Fair on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 in the Lecture Hall at Lourdes Hospital, 169 Riverside Drive, Binghamton. Guests can stop by anytime between 11:00 am – 2:00 pm.

The Lourdes Diabetes Education Fair provides the opportunity for patients and healthcare professionals alike to learn about the many new medications and insulins on the market and the most recent advances in technology.  There will be vendors, demonstrations and displays with information about the latest products, including glucose meters, medications, insulin pens, insulin pumps and nutrition.

Light refreshments will be served. Reservations are requested. Please call 607-772-6269 for more information and to make a reservation.

Human Resources Planning Day

We were listening!  You asked for it and a Human Services Resource Day will be held on Saturday, March 25th.  Following the results and comments of a needs assessment of human services available to Susquehanna County residents, the planning has begun.

The event will be held at the Blue Ridge School with agencies and providers showcasing their services with brochures, giveaways and conversation. Join us for hours of information, door prizes and dialogue along with Susquehanna County's very own K9, Echo, on hand to give a demonstration. Short presentations will be given throughout the day explaining services and a complimentary light lunch will be served at noon. The drug drop box van will in the parking lot for the disposal of your unused prescription drugs.
