Jesse W. Pickering
Jesse W. Pickering, 72, of Brooklyn, PA passed away Saturday, November 19, 2016 at Gracious Living Estates Personal Care Home, Montrose, PA. Born June 23, 1944 in Brooklyn, PA, he was the son of the late Lewis and Beatrice (Razey) Pickering.
A 1963 graduate of Mountain View High School, he was employed by Proctor & Gamble as a Technician.
He loved to fish and was a Ford enthusiast.
Jesse served in the US Army from 1965 to 1968 during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Hallstead-Great Bend American Legion Post #357, and Harford Lodge No.445 F.&A.M., Hop Bottom, Keystone Consistory, Scranton, PA, and the Irem Temple, Dallas, PA.
Survivors include brother and sister-in-law, James and Rose Pickering of Hop Bottom, PA, numerous nieces and nephews; and his traveling and “going to dinner” buddy, Ray Sterling.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, William, Clair, Harold, Richard, LeRoy and Paul Pickering.

Lura Marie Tiffany, 96, of Kingsley, PA passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at Barnes Kasson Skilled Nursing Facility in Susquehanna, PA. Born February 29, 1920 in Brooklyn Township, she was the daughter of the late Ralph C. and Lois M. (Sterling) Potter. Her husband of 64 years, Anson W. Tiffany preceded her in death.
She was a member of the First Congregational Church of Harford UCC and was an active member of the Kingsley Willing Workers, Harford Historical Society, and Daughters of American Revolution.
She had a broad range of interests especially religion, literature, science and science fiction. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, bird watching and gardening. She was known for her cheerful nature, sharp mind and sense of humor.
Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Marilyn and Patrick Klimcho of Reading, PA, Sylvia and Dan Morra of Middletown, PA; son and daughter-in-law, Russell and Yung Sook Tiffany of Hallstead, PA; along with a number of nieces and nephews, 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
