Curtis Wayne Lamb

Curtis Wayne Lamb, 61, Pine Lane, Susquehanna, PA. passed away Friday, November 11, 2016.  He was born in Susquehanna, PA. on December 11, 1954.  

He is predeceased in death by his parents, Clarance W. (January 19, 2006) and Evelyn Louise (Ingram) Lamb (January 31, 2001), an uncle, Carlton and an aunt, Mildred.

Curtis was a graduate of Susquehanna Community High School.  He was employed by Labor Ready and worked at Binghamton University in Binghamton, NY as a janitor.  He was formerly employed at Arrow Spinning Co., Susquehanna, PA., Magnetic Lab, Hallstead PA. and Enviro Cycle, Hallstead PA.

Curtis enjoyed bowling and was a former member of a league at Valley Lanes, Great Bend, PA.  He enjoyed repairing computers, hunting and fishing,  but most of all Curt enjoyed his hobby of HAM radio (WB3JPM).  He was a current member of BARA (Binghamton Amateur Radio Association) where he enjoyed attending an occasional meeting and participating in club activities.  He was also a former member of the Susquehanna County Amateur Radio Club.

Curtis is survived by three cousins known, Kenneth Lamb, Roger Lamb, and Cheryl (Lamb) Abbott; many friends, not the least of which are Steve Martel, Susquehanna, PA, Mandy Taylor, Clifford PA,  Ted Klees, Endwell, NY, John McEwining, (Karen) Susquehanna, PA, Fred Visser, (Loretta) Great Bend, PA, Jeffrey Herbert (Joan), Susquehanna, PA, Arthur Herbert (Jean), Susquehanna, PA.  Curt mostly enjoyed spending time with his friends and he would do anything for any one of them, as they were also considered his family.  He will be greatly missed by them all.

A service will be held at the convenience of friends and family in the near future.

Michael Lee Cyphers

Michael L. Cyphers, 70, passed away at his home on Saturday, November 19, 2016, at 3:40a.m., attended by his loving wife of 28 years, Sandra, and his devoted step-daughter, Billie Jeanne Burry. Michael fought a valiant battle against the formidable adversary of Cancer but was not the victor.

He was predeceased by his parents and identical twin brother, Peter Cyphers in 2008.

Michael is survived by his wife, Sandra Plunkett-Cyphers, Lanesboro, Pa.; step son, Captain John J. Plunkett, USCG (retired), Friendswood, Texas;, step-daughters, Evelyn Hardy, Binghamton, NY, Cassandra Fowler, Tunkhannock, PA, and Billie Jeanne Burry, Meshoppen, PA; sister, Mary Elizabeth Pace-Cyphers, Houston, TX; 22 grandchildren.

This gentle man traveled the world in the service of his country, in the US Navy serving 2 tours of duty in Vietnam.  He was retired from the US Navy in 1990 after 22 years of service.  Michael met his wife Sandra in 1988 and they married in that year.  Upon his discharge from the Navy in 1990, he resided in Lanesboro with his new family.  He was a member of the American Legion and the NRA.

Michael loved his family, which included his faithful friend “Teddy” (his little yorkie) who expired 3 weeks prior to Michael's death. He loved taking cruises with his wife, Sandi, he loved his grandchildren and his Dallas Cowboys. But most of all, Michael loved his devoted wife, Sandra and the family they created  together.

A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
