Scandals Of A Shady Lady

When you live on the shady side of the law, scandal comes with the territory.

In 1975, fresh out of law school, Hillary landed a job working with the Watergate investigation team. That didn't last long. Her supervisor, Jerry Zeifman, fired her. Why?

“Because she was a liar,” said Zeifman. “She was an unethical, dishonest lawyer. She conspired to violate the Constitution, the rules of the House, the rules of the committee, and the rules of confidentiality.” An impressive resume for a mafia consigliere.

And quite a plateful for a 27-year old. That was 40 years ago. But Hillary hasn't changed except that she's grown more adroit at parrying and sidestepping the growing list of scandals, deceptions, obfuscations, and lies in an assortment of sizes. They have dogged her career from Watergate to Benghazi.

The former First Lady has been enmired in misdeeds since the mid '70s.. The shame-on-Hillary rap sheet is up to 22 scandals. For brevity's sake, we'll discuss six; three from the past and three that are current.

We'll begin with this triune of her misdeeds from her past.

1) Hillary's Cash Cow, 1994. When husband Bill was Arkansas' attorney general, Hillary invested $1,000 in cattle futures. Nine months later she sold that future's contract for a bit under $100,000. The question is this: Did Hillary have a flash of market genius that was never repeated? Or did she act on an insider tip provided by Tyson Foods as a payoff for favorable treatment by Bill?

2) The U-Haul Get-Away Truck Caper, 2001. Hillary tried to hijack $190,000 in gifts and furnishing from the White House to her house in Chappaqua, New York. Failing in that, they---remember Bill said, “You get two for the price of one.”---sold export licenses in cutting-edge technology to China, judgeships, overnight stays in the Lincoln Bedroom, and graves in Arlington Cemetery. That's Hillary exercising her entrepreneurial skills.

3) Hillary Under Fire, 2008. “I remember landing under sniper fire,” said the First Lady after landing in Bosnia. “We ran with our heads down to get into the vehicles to get to our base.” Wow! Some story, Hillary. But it's just that, a story. It never happened. Just one of those spur-of-the-moment fantasies. It's Hillary's version of Brian Williams.

And here's three dirty deeds from the present.

1) A Family Affair, 2001 to now. The Bill, Hillary, and Chelsea Foundation's stated purposes are to promote health, create economic opportunity, and address the effects of climate change. Noble causes. It must have tugged at the heart strings Wall Street, foreign governments, corporations, and political donors who contributed hundreds of millions of dollars to the foundation.  Or could the foundation have functioned as a conduit for money for political favors? Either that or the moneyed interests have a heart bursting with love for mankind. Whatever the case, the foundation reaped in an average of $143 million/year for the past 15 years. Of that, about 10 percent went to charity. And the other 90 percent---that's $1.9 billion---who pocketed that?

2) The Benghazi Debacle, 2012. When Hillary was secretary of state, Islamic militants staged an organized attack on the US Consulate in Benghazi, Libya. Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three others were killed.

For an as yet unknown reason, Hillary signed a waiver that allowed the facility to be occupied even though it lacked accommodations for a security force. They were housed in a CIA annex one mile from the main building.

When the attack began, the security team at the annex was ready to go in five minutes. But the team was held back by a top CIA officer in Benghazi. He was waiting for State Department authorization. But the authorization never came.

After a delay of 30 minutes, the security team, in violation of “stand down” orders, headed to the besieged consulate. Tragically, by this time, it was too late.

Why Sectary Clinton failed to respond to their urgent and repeated requests is still not known.

3) The Jailhouse Blues, 2015. In direct violation of security procedures, Hillary kept all her personal emails, and government Secret, Top Secret, and ultra-secret Special Access Program (SAP) correspondence, in her private, unsecured, and unencrypted server.

FBI Director James Comey is expected to conclude the agency's investigation in two months. Comey will then present it to the US Attorney General Loretta Lynch for prosecution.

The FBI's case against Hillary is rumored to be airtight. That and Comey's stellar reputation will leave little choice for the Obama appointed AG but to indict Hillary.

Hillary will then face the impossible situation of defending herself from several felony charges---and the possibility of a hiatus in a federal gated community---while campaigning for the Democrat's standard bearer.

Carly Fiorina said it best: “Hillary belongs in the big house, not the White House.”

Will Hillary finally get her com-up-pence? Or will she somehow skate by once again?

Sincerely,

Bob Scroggins

Blue Water Navy

Congress House Bill HR-969 and Senate Bill S.681, both Bills titled The Blue Water Navy Vietnam Veterans Agent Orange Act are held up in the Veterans Affairs Committee because no dollar amount has been assigned to, the cost to provide proper VA benefits, Without a dollar amount assigned to these Bills nothing will happen to provide VA benefits to veterans who are sick from Agent Orange exposure.

At this writing there are 301 members of Congress in favor of passage and 37 members of Senate in favor. This is well over the numbers of both Houses needed to send the Bills to the floor for a vote. This cannot happen without a dollar amount assigned.  The VA is attempting to stop passage of these Bills.  The VA's job and obligation is to help veterans in need, not hinder their obligation as set forth by law.  The committees of both Legislative Houses may have to appeal to the Court of Appeals in DC to stop the VA from blocking any action in getting these Bills an acceptable dollar amount. Once this can happen these Bills will go for a vote.

America is a Free and Sovereign Nation.  As such we take on non selfless obligations to help other Countries in need.  This is well and good, it is a part of what America is about.  However, what about our veterans who fight the battles to keep America and other countries Free?  Many come home sick and broken

in need of help.  When it comes to special veteran groups like the Blue Water Navy, Vietnam, the VA does not recognize them. A Legislative Bill must be passed to force the VA to care for this group of War veterans.

Sincerely,

John J. Bury,

U.S. Navy retired, Vietnam War Veteran

Find A Better Conspiracy

Amid the encomiums for Antonin Scalia, what's needed is an alternate viewpoint that dispels the hype. Throughout his career, Scalia has been touted as a conservative.  But an analysis of his decisions over the past 30 years should give him a different label:  Authoritarian statist.  Too often, when individual rights came up against government power, Scalia slapped the individual down and sided with power.  He was overly fond of dismissing cases on the basis of "standing", which is a judicial way of saying, "None of your business" (even when it truly is).  In addition, he was a Judicial Activist, only of the Far Right. Scalia liked to consider himself an Originalist, or a Textualist, meaning he strove to align himself with the original intent of the Founding Fathers.  This was sometimes an empty conceit.  The Founding Fathers definitely created a Separation of Church and State-- that is Original Intent.  But Scalia frequently and publicly rejected this, preferring Theocracy.  And if he were really an Originalist in the Heller decision, he should have limited it to muskets. Ironically, the whole idea of Originalism would be discarded if Scalia heeded the words of one of the most important Founders, Thomas Jefferson.  Time after time in his writings, in various ways, Jefferson said that the world belongs to the living, not the dead -- we cannot bind future generations. Scalia's thinking was congruent with a radical organization called the Federalist Society, founded in 1982, which is now the GOP seedbed for judicial nominations.  I like to invoke the principle that things are often the opposite of how they label themselves.  The Federalist Society is really ANTI-Federalist, and radically so.  Their goal is to destroy Federal authority and transfer power to 50 tinhorn dictatorships at the state level.  Once Federal oversight and supremacy, established in Article VI of the Constitution, is removed, this could not be prevented.  So much for Originalism.

Finally, the worst part of Scalia's legacy is his wholly biased, political, and activist decision in Bush v. Gore that ratified a stolen election.  The result was a bogus war under false pretenses, the end of Fiscal Conservatism, and the Great Recession.  If Scalia had actually been a true conservative, none of this would have happened.  This is what you get when you choose a nominee out of spite. Now we will also, likely until the end of time, be annoyed by fatuous conspiracy theorists claiming foul play.  All because a careless proprietor referred to a pillow over his head as being on it (his face).  Has a person ever been suffocated and the pillow left in place?  And if they were really out to get rid of Scalia, wouldn't they have done it long ago, when there would be no lame duck excuse for not replacing him promptly?  So find a better silly conspiracy to harp on ad infinitum, okay?

Sincerely,

Stephen Van Eck

All Are Welcome

Here comes another gas pipeline through our county, just south of the Broome County, NY border. This one is 30" wide and 124 miles long; 24 miles in Pa. and 100 miles in New York. We've been fracked since 2008 and now hold 1400 gas holes/gas wells, 45 gas compressor stations spewing out their daily toxins and industrial noise, loads of industry traffic pounding our rural roads, and an endless web of high-pressure gas pipelines crisscrossing the county till we are surrounded by industrial squalor. Some families said "NO" to the pipelines cutting through their fields and forests and went to court to fight the Williams Energy Company and Cabot Oil and Gas. The industry would not take "No" for an answer. The court ruled in favor of the industry and now the reality of Eminent Domain has dominated these landowners' lives.

One family decided to take a major stand and not just roll over for the corporate machine. This family, the Hollerans and Zeffers of New Milford, Pa. on Three Lakes Rd. have amassed a growing, supportive following of citizens who also want to help them defend the land, the trees and property rights and value.

The trees in particular are Maple Trees that are tapped for their sap which is running way early this year. They are cooking down the sap into Maple Syrup and continuing their Maple Syrup Business. Now the area has also become a camp for defending the trees and stopping the Constitution Pipeline at this property.

The Hollerans/Zeffers and supporters will continue their watch and stand daily till they (lumberjacks) can't cut anymore; April 1st. There is a time limit to all this. They stopped the chainsaw crew that came to cut the trees and talked them out of it. Earth Justice has filed a motion to FERC to review and stay this pipeline.

All are welcome to come and join to keep the chainsaws away and meet folks with guts and a vision.

If you are planning to come, call Megan 570-709-3268,‬‬ or Alex 570-269-9589,‬‬ or Vera Scroggins ‪‪607-237-9685‬‬. The location is 2131 Three Lakes Road, New Milford, PA, 18834
