David A. Calla Sr.

David A. Calla Sr., 55, of Hallstead, PA, was called home to be with the Lord on September 25, 2015. Born on January 06, 1960. He was the son of John & Pauline Calla of Johnsonburg, PA.

In addition to his parents he is survived by his wife, Maria Calla; children Tony, Jessica & Brian Kinney, Sarah, Kristina, David Jr. & Courtney, Alyssa, Joseph, Johnathon & Briana; grandchildren Siara, Caden, Safia, Aiiden, Kealan, Kooper, Briilynn, Elliana & Giiarra; siblings Michael & Marybeth, John & Robin, Peter & Kelly & Regina & Dave Myers. Parents-in-law Thomas & Joanne Perera; siblings-in-law William, Frank & Melonie Perera & Suzette & Robert Caldera & numerous nieces, nephews, cousins & friends.

David was a compassionate, loving, hard working & well respected man. He enjoyed hunting & fishing. He cherished the times spent with his family.

Elvin R. Lamb

Elvin R. Lamb, 85, of State Route 171, Thompson, PA, passed away on Sunday, September 27, 2015, at the Barnes Kasson Hospital, Susquehanna, PA, after an illness.

Elvin was predeceased by his parents Maurice and Virla (Glover) Lamb, and one nephew Roger Lamb.

He was survived by his loving wife of 56 years Geraldine Lamb; daughter and son-in-law Tina (Lamb) and Robert Hall; son and daughter-in-law Bradley and Grace Lamb; three grandchildren Brendan Lamb, Jessica Lamb, and Ryan Hall; brother and sister-in-law Lewis and Margaret Lamb; two sisters Myrna Lamb and Erma Lee; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Elvin worked PennDOT, Thompson Township, was a relief school bus driver in addition to working as a full time Dairy Farmer, which he retired from in 1995. He enjoyed watching Nascar, hunting and the outdoors. Most of all Elvin enjoyed spending time with his family who will miss him dearly.

A Funeral Service was held on Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at the Hennessey’s Funeral Home, 747 Jackson Ave. Susquehanna, PA, with Rev. Leanne Campbell.

Interment will be held in the McKune Cemetery, Oakland, PA.
