Shenanigans in Harrisburg

A few days after Election Day we all learned that the majority leader in the Pennsylvania State House (a Republican) had been undermining the governor for four years, holding bills back, not allowing them to come to the floor. These bills dealt with, among other issues, privatization of the liquor business, pension reform and paycheck protection. Not ‘getting things done’ with these issues were the real reasons that Corbett was not re-elected. Evidently, the majority leader was ‘simpatico’ with the unions, having taken major campaign donations to foil any attempts at reform.

Within the same few days, post Election, we learned that “Professor” Josh Gruber believed that the American people were so ‘stupid’ that an illegal piece of legislation, Obamacare, had to be ‘manipulated’ to get it passed. His quote, exactly? “You can't do it political, you just literally cannot do it. Transparent financing and also transparent spending. I mean, this bill was written in a tortured way to make sure CBO did not score the mandate as taxes. If CBO scored the mandate as taxes the bill dies. Okay? So it’s written to do that,"....."In terms of risk rated subsidies, if you had a law which said that healthy people are going to pay in, you made explicit healthy people pay in and sick people get money, it would not have passed. Lack of transparency is a huge political advantage. And basically, call it the stupidity of the American voter or whatever, but basically that was really really critical to get for the thing to pass. Look, I wish Mark was right that we could make it all transparent, but I’d rather have this law than not."

So, like Lucifer, who would fight Heaven and take by guile what he could not take by force, we are all the victims of an illegal ‘law.’ This same Josh Gruber was the architect of RomneyCare. Obamacare is based on lies, was sold to the people on lies, and its true intent (total control of a major portion of the U.S. economy, and the crown jewel of every totalitarian regime that has existed -from Lenin to Hitler to Mao to Castro to Chavez) had to be hidden from them. It’s ‘legality’ was assured by the Supreme Court decision in 2012.

Every part of this ‘law’ is now proven to be a lie and a fraud. Now that this has come to light, what will our newly elected representatives do? Can we expect that the House will fully DE-FUND this monstrosity? Can we expect that they - the House and the Senate - will work tirelessly to overturn it, as they have promised? Or will they ‘compromise’ and try to ‘fix’ it? After all, they, their families and their staffs are exempt from it. Full repeal is the only right solution. Let free market principles take control and get government out of the insurance business and the medical profession.

Sincerely,

Shattering Hillary's Glass Ceiling

Hillary Clinton was recently featured on the cover of People magazine for the 16th time, that's five times more than her husband ex-President Bill Clinton. The teaser under her picture read, “I'm certainly in that camp that says we need to breakdown that highest, hardest glass ceiling in American politics. To have a woman president is something I would love to see happen.”

Aaahh, yes, the glass ceiling, a canard so ingrained in the American psyche that it is now generally accepted as true. That invisible barrier that prevents women from reaching the highest echelon in corporate America.

But there must be something to it. In Fortune's list of the 500 biggest companies, only 4 percent have women CEOs. Could it be that among Fortune's top money-making moguls there exists a “No Woman Wanted” sign hung over the entrance to the ol' boys' club? Or could it be something far more substantial?

Let's do a thought experiment. Suppose we have a donkey with predictive powers. Ask him any question and he will invariably respond correctly with a yes, one hoof tap, or a no, two hoof taps. Now let's further suppose that his owner offers the services of his fortune-telling quadruped to the Fortune's 500 leading companies. They could either hire the infallible donkey or keep their present CEO. Which would the board of directors choose, the donkey or their CEOs?

I venture to say that all of them would vote to renovate their executive suites as stalls stocked with the finest hay and the choicest oats. You see, it's not a matter of who sits in the CEO's chair---man or woman---but who can put the most dollars in the company's coffers. In this case, it's the ex cathedra tapping donkey.

Interesting. But that doesn't answer the question, Why so few top-level women CEOs? Could it be because they are women? I think so. Sorry feminists, but the differences between the sexes are as profoundly partitioned psychologically as they are physically.

Business Roundtable reports that the average CEO works 58 hours a week. If he's a Fortune 500 CEO, then it's considerably more. It's no 9-to-5 job, but an all consuming 12-hour workday for six days a week.

Women, on the other hand, have different drives. They want to use their time to fulfill their inborn desire to have children, to live in a secure home where they are free to rise a family. This, by the way, takes far more time and dedication than any of Fortune's high-powered execs devote to their job.

The problem with feminists is that they are anti-feminine. They automatically take the male aspirations as superior. Feminine desires are degraded as second rate, inferior. Well, I say flapdoodle and fiddlesticks. A woman's values are not in any way inferior to a man's any more so than a man's wants are superior to a woman's, They are wonderfully complementary not competitive.

No, Hillary, it's not the glass ceiling that threatens your goal to become the first female president, it is you.

If we are to believe the following authors, the real Hillary is a foul mouth harridan who treats subordinates with utter contempt. A few heavily censored quotes illustrate the point.

From the book, Inside The White House, to a staff member at the Arkansas Governor's mansion: “Where is the g____ f_____ flag! I want the g_____ f____ flag up every f____ morning at f_____ sunrise.”

From the book, America Evita, to her state trooper bodyguard: “Get your f_____ ass over here and grab those bags.”

From the book, The Truth about Hillary, to a Secret Service officer: “Where's the miserable c_____ s_____?”

From the book, Crossfire, to a Secret Service officer: “You f_____ idiot.”

Then there's the Hillary who was fired from the Watergate investigating committee by her supervisor, Jerry Zeifman. Zeifman's book, Hillary's Pursuit of Power, states “she engaged in a variety of self-serving, unethical practices.” He continues, “She was an unethical, dishonest lawyer. She conspired to violate the Constitution, the rules of the House, the rules of the committee, and the rules of confidentiality.”

Not too long ago we elected a junior senator as president based on his race. Now we're contemplating electing a former junior senator as president based on her sex. Think we'll do any better? I'll vote for the donkey.

Sincerely,

Bob Scroggins
