This year’s speaker is George Cummings, historian and local expert on the American Revolution. George was born and raised in Binghamton, New York and was educated at Broome Community College and Binghamton University. Silver Lake Turkey And Ham Party

The Silver Lake Volunteer Fire Company will hold their annual Turkey and Ham party at the Silver Lake Firehouse on Friday, November 7th from 7:30 p.m. on.

Refreshments and games add to the fun, including a special door prize. Proceeds help support the community’s volunteer fire and emergency rescue services throughout the Silver Lake & Choconut communities.

We appreciate the loyal support our community gives our volunteer fire and rescue people. This party is a great way to get acquainted with the volunteer men and women who are on the action end of 911 when you need help.

Come and enjoy the fun. We are back at the Firehouse for the 2014 season.
