William J. “Bill” Schwartz

William J. “Bill” Schwartz, 85, died in Dunnellon, Fl on July 4, 2014. Bill was predeceased by his parents John and Teresa Schwartz, sister Dorothy Sarkovics, brother John Schwartz, and a special nephew Charles Schwartz. He is survived by a son David Schwartz, daughter Stacy Schwartz (Donald), brother Theodore (Sharyl) Schwartz, special friend Leona Labarre, special daughter in law Eva Schwartz and several nieces and nephews.

Bill was born in Buffalo, NY on 4-22-1929 and moved to Susquehanna, Pa at an early age. Graduating from Laurel Hill Academy in 1947, he was self educated in electronics and obtained a position as Test Engineer for Link Aviation in Hillcrest in 1951. In 1954 Bill left Link to pursue a television repair business and later with his brother Ted constructed the Tri Boro Cable TV System in Susquehanna, Pa. which he owned until his retirement in 1991. He retired to Dunnellon, Fl in 1992, but always returned to Susquehanna in the summer to visit his family and friends. Bill was a Licensed Pilot and received much enjoyment flying a variety of private aircraft for many years. A private service will be held at the family's convenience.

Charles J. Moore

Charles John Moore, 62, of Binghamton, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 7, 2014.

Charlie was born and raised in Susquehanna, PA.  He graduated from Susquehanna High School in 1970 with a passion for music and art.  Charlie’s favorite expression was that he would rather fail trying than fail to try.  On August 16, 1975, he was in a tragic car accident at age 23 and as a result was a paraplegic for the rest of his life.  His will to live on and enjoy life was his hallmark.

He is predeceased by his parents John and Mary and sister Jackie.  He is survived by his sister Judy Seppa and three nephews Justin, Matthew and Michael Seppa, niece Tara Baker and cousin Patrick McLaughlin and dear friend Melissa Mischke.  Charlie will be missed by the Binghamton Community who shared his love of art and music.

A funeral mass was held at St. John’s Catholic Church, Susquehanna, PA, on Friday, July 11, 2014, with Rev. David Cramer officiating.

Burial will be in the St. John’s Cemetery, Susquehanna, PA.
