SCCTC Attends State Conference

Dr. Alice M. Davis, Administrative Director of the Susquehanna County Career and Technology Center, is pleased to announce that seven members of the SCCTC chapter of the Future Business Leaders of America will attend the 2014 Pennsylvania FBLA State Leadership Conference April 7th – 9th at the Hershey Lodge and Convention Center, Hershey, Pennsylvania.

During the conference, the SCCTC students will compete with representatives from other Pennsylvania chapters for top honors in Accounting I, Alex Bonavita; Accounting II, Zach Moon; Business Ethics, Pete McGee, Matt Domasiewicz, Emily Forba; and Personal Finance, Neil Harvey.  In addition to competing, the students will attend various workshops related to leadership and character development.

At the Awards Ceremony, Donate Life Pennsylvania, the recipient of this year’s State Project, will be given a monetary contribution to be used toward the organization’s programs in Pennsylvania.  Other highlights of the conference include individual, chapter, and team competitive events relating to business skills and leadership. 

The Future Business Leaders of America is a national career and technical student organization whose mission is to bring business and education together in a positive working relationship through innovative leadership and career development programs.  The members of the SCCTC chapter are a part of the Pennsylvania membership of approximately 13,800 in nearly 290 schools.

Elk Lake Elementary Students Of Month

Dr. Kenneth Cuomo, Elementary Principal at the Elk Lake School, is pleased to announce the March, 2014 Student of the Month Award winners.
