STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL: Sat., June 15, 10:00 a.m., Springville UM Church Annual Strawberry Festival and Chicken BBQ.

June 16

BBQ: Sun., June 16, New Milford Rifle Pistol Club is holding a Father’s Day Chicken BBQ, 11:00 a.m., located at 336 Steamhollow Road, New Milford.

BREAKFAST: Sun., June 16, 8:00 – 11:00 a.m., Father’s Day Breakfast, American Legion Post 357, Hallstead. All you can eat and any Dad accompanied by his family gets to eat free.

June 19

PALMZ AND PRAIZE: Wed., June 19, 7:00 p.m., Palms and Praize, UM Community Church, 436 Main St., Great Bend, PA.

Thur., June 20: italian chicken, italian green beans, herbed potatoes, ww roll, chocolate cake.

Master Gardeners Plan Programs At Market

The Penn State Master Gardeners will continue presentations at the Montrose Farmers’ Market in the month of June, on Fridays from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. Programs planned beginning in June include; Growing Herbs, a children’s presentation on Pest Control and Poison Prevention, Sustainable Gardening, and Container Gardening. Additional programs will be presented every Friday, weather permitting. Growing Lavender, Tomatoes, Home Canning, a children’s program and Composting will be among the topics presented.

Penn State Master Gardeners also maintain the Low Maintenance Garden on the green. Information sheets on the garden and flowers is available in the holder at the garden.
