Alec W. Meshensky, 85, of Montrose, PA, passed away at his beloved home on Thursday, May 16, 2013. He was born in Mildred, PA, to the late Peter A. and Stephanna (Kramitz) Meshensky.
Surviving is his sister, Stella A. Adams, Montrose, PA, numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his four sisters, and three brothers.
Alec was a member of the Holy Name of Mary Church. He was a WW II Army Air Corps veteran; he later served in the U.S. Air Force for 10 years. He worked for 19 years at GAF in Binghamton, NY. Alec was very handy with any mechanical; he had his own machine shop at his home; he worked on his own cars; assisted neighbors with any engine problems; and he enjoyed gardening, providing neighbors and friends with the bountiful vegetables from his labor of love. For anyone that knew Alec, they knew his great love and devotion to his home and property that he so lovingly cared for the last 35 years.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held May 20, 2013, at the Holy Name of Mary Church, with Casimir Stanis officiating. Interment was held in St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery, Mildred, PA.
