The congregation of Thompson Baptist Church voted unanimously on Feb. 13, 2013, to call Loren S. Winn to be their pastor. He, along with his wife, Martha, accepted graciously and he assumed his duties immediately. The transition will be smooth, as Pastor Winn has served as interim since last Fall.

He becomes the 33rd pastor in the 135 years existence of the church, located on Jackson St. in Thompson, Pa.

Pastor Winn is a summa cum laude graduate of Practical Bible College (now Davis College) in Johnson City, N.Y. He has held ministry positions since 1975, including a 24 year pastorate at Buckingham Baptist in Starlight, Pa.

Both of the Winn's have musical talents which they use frequently to minister during the worship service.

The congregation is pleased & excited to have Loren Winn as their pastor and anticipate the teaching and challenges he will bring from God's Word.

The public is invited to the services of the church as follows; Sunday School at 9:45, Worship at 10:45, Wednesday night prayer service at 7 P.M.
