ROBERT L. BUTTS SR.
Robert L. Butts Sr., 71 of New Milford Township, PA went home to be with the Lord on October 24, 2011. He is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Erlinda.
Also surviving are his children, Robert L. Butts II and Robin, David Butts, Corey Butts, Deanna Leeder Stanton and Ron, Lorri Gray, James Butts, Michael Cenedo and Cherie Stone, Jada Mitchell, and Chris Mitchell and Chrissy; thirteen grandchildren; three great grandchildren; siblings, Ruth Slocum and Lee, Lillian Denney and Al, James Kelly and Debbie, and Mary Pat Upright and Brent; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Prior to his retirement, Bob was a TSGT Sergeant in the US Air Force. He served for 21 years, including Vietnam. He was the antennae supervisor on Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean, providing communication for the US during Iraqi Freedom. He was a life member of the American Legion Post #357 and the V.F.W. Post #6223. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Bob was an exceptional marksman including skeet and trap shooting. He loved the great outdoors.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 27, 2011 at the Tuttle-Yeisley Funeral Home, Hallstead, PA.
SHARON J. FOERSTER
Sharon J. Foerster, 68, of Thompson died Thursday night, October 27, 2011 at home.
She was the wife of Bernhard Foerster.
Born in Lakehurst, NJ, daughter of the late August M. and Viola K. Ridgway Miller, Sr., she attended the Thompson United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Ararat Township Planning Commission, and the Eastern Susquehanna County Partnership.
She was a graduate of Central Regional High School, Bayville, NJ; she received her bachelor’s degree from Douglass College and her masters degree from Rutgers University.
She was a retired librarian for Paul VI High School of the Dioceses of Camden in Haddonfield, NJ. Her family would like to thank the Hospice of the Scared Heart for the care and compassion given to Sharon.
Also surviving are 2 nephews John S. Miller and Christopher P. Miller; and 2 nieces Lauren W. Jones and Karen S. Wood.
She was also preceded in death by 2 brothers August M. Miller, JR. and John H. Miller.
A memorial service was held Sunday in the Thompson United Methodist Church by the Rev. Lloyd D. Canfield, pastor. Interment will be private.
