HAROLD DEAKIN FELSKE Harold Deakin Felske, 85, died Saturday, July 18, 2011. Born in Susquehanna, PA on July 4, 1926, he graduated from Oakland High School, class of 1944. A veteran of the United States Navy, he served during World War II in the South Pacific. He was employed by Bendix Aviation in Sidney, New York for many years as a model and test equipment maker, and was active and instrumental in organizing the F&F Airpark in Oneonta NY. Harold was active as a Airline pilot and flight instructor. He moved to West Melbourne FL in 1964, and was last employed by McDonnell Douglas as a Production Supervisor, he was also employed in the past by other companies as a toolmaker methods engineering and manufacturing manager. He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church and a loving Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather. His family includes his two daughters, Sheree Bossie (Glenn) and Kim Clabaugh (David); brother, Robert Felske; six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by former wife, Beverly Felske; and sister, Shirley Sackett Eastridge. O'NEIL James F. O'Neil, 85, of Hallstead, PA entered into rest on July 18, 2011, after a long courageous battle with cancer. He was predeceased by his wife Eleanor; his parents, George and Myrtle O'Neil; sisters, Catherine O'Neil, Margret and Jack Ward, Rita and Rex Jacques, and Janet O'Neil; a brother, Mark O'Neil; and a brother-in-law, Kenneth Williams. Jim is survived by his children, Deborah and Ed Ucci, Great Bend, PA, Kevin and Lisa O'Neil, New Milford, PA, and Nancy and Ted Loomis, Hallstead, PA; six grandchildren, Courtney and Brittany Ucci, Danelle Decker and husband Shane, Kelsey O'Neil, Teejay and Jessica Loomis; one great grandchild, Jaxson Decker; siblings, Mary O'Neil and Betty Williams; and many special nieces and nephews. Upon retiring from GAF, Jim spent his time playing golf, but his favorite past times were watching his grandchildren play sports and spending time with his family at Page Lake. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, a social member of the American Legion and the V.F.W., and a member of St. Lawrence Church. Jim was always there to help his family and will be remembered for his witty sense of humor. He will be in our hearts forever and continue to guide us through our lives. The family would like to extend their deep appreciation to the caring staff of Barnes-Kasson Hospital. A Mass of Christian burial was held at St. Lawrence Church on Thursday, July 21, 2011. Interment was made in St. Lawrence Cemetery. MICHAEL ALAN WHITMORE Michael Alan Whitmore, 57, of Susquehanna, PA, passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at the Barnes Kasson Hospital in Susquehanna, PA after an illness. Michael was born in Susquehanna the son of the late Donald & Ruth (June) Whitmore. He is survived by his wife Linda (Harvey) Whitmore; two sons and one daughter-in-law Mickey and Dawn Whitmore, Franklin, MA, William Whitmore, Vestal, NY; two daughters Melody Whitmore, Binghamton, NY, Tammy Whitmore and fiancé Robert Smolinsky, Conklin, NY; two brothers and sister-in-law Donald Whitmore, John and Cheri Whitmore; three grandchildren Geniviene Whitmore, Trinity Whitmore, Gavin Whitmore; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was a member of the Lanesboro Community Church of Lanesboro, PA. Mike loved the Erie Lackawanna Railroad and spent many hours with his HO gauge layout train collection. He graduated from the Susquehanna Community High School, Keystone College and Wilkes University. A memorial service was held Saturday, July 23 at the Lanesboro Community Church in Lanesboro, PA with Rev. Carl Batzel officiating.
