Lenten Mission At Area Churches The three-parish union of St. Lawrence in Great Bend, St. John the Evangelist in Susquehanna, and St. Martin of Tours in Jackson, will be holding a Lenten Mission featuring Father Pio F. Mandato, F.M.J.J. Father Pio is the nephew of St. Padre Pio, the famous stigmatist, and knew him very well having received his first Holy Communion from him before immigrating to the U.S. Fr. Pio was ordained in 1985 as a Capuchin Franciscan. He now lives as a missionary hermit in the Diocese of Scranton and has become well known for his healing masses and retreats. The Capuchin Sisters of Nazareth will be joining in also. The retreat will begin Sunday, April 3 with Fr. Pio speaking to all of the masses. Monday, April 4 will be the Parish Mission Opening Service at 7:00 p.m., to be held at St. Lawrence. On Tuesday, April 5 there will be a Healing Service to be held at St. John's, starting at 7:00 p.m. On Wednesday, April 6 there will be a closing mass to be held at St. Martin's, starting at 7:00 p.m. All are invited to attend.
