Guiton compiled a 3 win and 1 loss record during the preliminary rounds by defeating debaters from Crestwood, Danville, and Meyers high schools. His only loss came to the debater whom he would later meet in finals, Dmitro Martynowych from Danville High School.

As a result of his record, Guiton advanced to Semi-Finals, where he faced Ayush Mittal from Danville High School, as the 3rd seeded debater. Guiton defeated Mittal on a 3-0 decision and advanced to finals.

In finals, Guiton once again faced Martynowych. Guiton lost a tough split decision and placed 2nd overall in Varsity LD Debate.

Senior Shea Skinner compiled a 3 win and 1 loss record during the preliminary rounds and placed, for the second week in a row, 5th overall.
