Richard M. Mitchell, graduate of Blue Ridge High School, Class of 1989, received his PhD in Biology from Auburn University on December 18, 2009. Richard also studied at Penn State University, obtaining a degree in Environmental Resources Management in 1995 as well as receiving a Masters degree in Aquatic Biology from Arkansas State University in 1999. Richard is currently employed by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in Washington D.C. He is the son of Christine M. Mitchell and the late Thomas B. Mitchell.
Lackawanna College Announces President’s & Dean’s List Lackawanna College President Raymond Angeli and Vice President of Academic Affairs Dr. Jill Murray are proud to announce the President’s and Dean’s Lists for the New Milford Center for the fall semester of 2009. A matriculated student qualifies for the President’s List if he/she achieves a cumulative quality point index of 3.5 or better for at least 24 earned Lackawanna College credits. In the most recently completed semester, the student must have earned at least 12 credits. A student qualifies for the Dean’s list if he/she achieves a quality point index of 3.2 for the semester and the student has completed at least nine credits during the semester.
