John G. Charles

John G. Charles, 83, of Lakeview Rd., Susquehanna, passed away on Friday, January 15, 2010, suddenly, at his home.

He was predeceased by his parents Anna and John E. Charles; a brother-in-law, William A. Chamberlain; niece, Cathy White; and great nephew Paul Chamberlain.

John is survived by one sister, Connie Chamberlain; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews, great great nieces and nephews, cousins and a good friend Bob Frantz.

John was a veteran of the US Army serving during WWII in Japan. He loved farming and retired from it in 1986.

He was a member of the American Legion Post #86, Susquehanna, PA.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 19, 2010, at 12:00 p.m. at the Hennessey’s Funeral Home, 747 Jackson Ave., Susquehanna, PA, with Robert Frantz officiating.

Burial will be in the Lakeview Cemetery, Lakeview, PA.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Louise Helen Nagel

Louise H. Nagel, 94, of Susquehanna, PA passed away on Sunday, January 17, 2010, at the Barnes Kasson SNF Susquehanna, PA, after an illness.

Louise was predeceased by her husband Carl A. Nagel in 1980.

She is survived by her two children, son and daughter-in-law Carl J. and Valerie Nagel, and daughter and son-in-law Jean (Shimer) and Bruce Frink; six grandchildren, Kathy McKee, Randy Shimer, Lori Hubal, Carole Brienze, Michael Nagel, and Theresa Felther; fifteen great grandchildren, Joseph, Jessica, Michelle, Nikie, Michael Jr. Tracee, Carl, Chris, Craig, Robert, Kenny, CJ, Nick, Austin and John; six great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Louise was a member of the St. John’s Church in Susquehanna, PA. She was a loving mother and grandmother who will be deeply missed.

A mass of Christian burial will be offered at the St. John’s Church in Susquehanna, PA on Wednesday, January 20, 2010, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Cramer officiating.

The family will receive friends at the Hennessey’s Funeral Home 747 Jackson Ave. Susquehanna, PA, on Tuesday, January 19, 2010, from 7 to 9 p.m.

Burial will be held at the St. John’s Cemetery at a later date.
