Jordan & Bonnie Wertz Receive Burchell Award

The William Jasper Burchell Memorial Award was given to Jordan and Bonnie Wertz of Corunna, Michigan. Bonnie is the daughter of Carlton and Connie Colwell of New Milford, and a 1998 graduate of Blue Ridge High School. Jordan and Bonnie are Children’s Ministry Consultants with Word of Life Local Church Ministries. They are currently helping to train and equip local church leaders in 24 different children’s clubs throughout Eastern Michigan, where they live with their three children. They have a passion to tell young people about Jesus Christ.

The Burchell Award has been presented every year since 2001 to honor the memory of William Jasper Burchell, son of Bill and Margo Burchell of New Milford. Recipients are chosen from people or ministries who seek to serve the Lord Jesus and share the same goals of ministry that marked the life of William Burchell, who planned to go into full-time missions in Australia before his July, 2000 Homegoing.
