HEADLINES: Thompson Borough Crime Watch News At the September Thompson Crime Watch meeting, three daylight break-ins were reported, in one case money was taken. Police were notified. The committee, led by captain Ray Grant, discussed how best to approach the situation. It was decided to circulate a flyer to every house in the borough and post it in the post office and on Hobbs’ bulletin board. In this way, as a crime watch community, we would be better able to help each other. We now have about seven families represented on the Crime Watch committee and welcome others who wish to help with future plans for community events. The next meeting will be at 7 p.m. on Thursday, October 16 in the Baptist Church hall. Refreshments are provided and we hope a greater feeling of a better, safer community is established.
