     Air Force Airman Brent L. Dyson has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.

Brent  is the son of Lowell Dyson,  Springville, and is a 2006 graduate of Elk Lake High School.

Pvt. Justin Gathany Graduates Basic

Army Reserve Pvt. Justin D. Gathany has graduated from Basic Combat training at Fort Sill, Lawton, Oklahoma.

During the nine weeks of training, the soldier studied the Army mission and received instruction and training exercises in drill and ceremonies, Army history, core values and traditions, military courtesy, military justice, physical fitness, first aid, rifle marksmanship, weapons use, map reading and land navigation, foot marches, armed and unarmed combat, and field maneuvers and tactics.

Justin is the son of Kenneth Gathany of Great Bend. He is a 2007 graduate of Blue Ridge High School.
