ROBERT RUPAKUS

Robert T. Rupakus, 74, passed away Sunday, June 10, 2007 at the home of his son, Robert L. Rupakus in Elmwood, WI.

He was born in Scranton, PA, the son of the late and Anthony and Esther Rupakus.

Bob is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Nedd and Rosa Rupakus, Ocala, FL, William and Iris Rupakus, Afton, NY and Robert and Kathy Rupakus, Elmwood, WI; one daughter, Debbie Colangelo, Davie, Florida.  He is also survived by one sister, Joan Lake, Jackson, PA; two brothers and sisters-in-law, William and Ida Rupakus, New Milford, PA, Daniel and Cheryl Rupakus, Lanesboro, PA; 12 grandchildren, Jeffrey, Daniel and Stefanie Rupakus, Ocala, FL; Amanda and Adam Rupakus, Afton, NY, Kristen, Cameron and Kayla Colangelo, Davie, FL and Morgan, Rowan, Ethan and Ryan Rupakus, Elmwood, WI; two nieces; five nephews; two great-grandchildren; many friends.

He was predeceased by his wife, Shelley Rupakus; a sister, Delores Mess; and a brother, George Rupakus.

Services were held Saturday, June 23 among family and friends, followed by burial at Evergreen Cemetery, Susquehanna, PA, alongside his wife.

MIRKO LEMUT

Mirko Lemut, 73, Lanesboro, PA, passed away on Saturday, June 16, 2007 at 10:30 p.m. in the Barnes-Kasson Hospital, Susquehanna, PA.

He was a loving husband of Vinka Lemut for 50 years, who lives in Lanesboro.

Mirko is survived by his wife, Vinka; three sons, Slavko, Mirinko, and Zlatko; daughters-in-law, Dejana and Rochelle; his grandchildren, Victoria, Michael, Marina, Monica, and Melissa.

He will be greatly missed by his friends and family. “Mirko was a builder, a constructor, a regular handyman who could piece together anything from scrap. Never was there a dull moment in his life; never was an opportunity to create something turned down. His work as a builder continues long after his death as he starts his new life in heaven.” May he rest in heavenly peace.

The funeral service was held on Saturday, June 23 at Hennessey’s Funeral Home, Susquehanna, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. John’s Church, Susquehanna, with Rev. King officiating. Burial, Lanesboro Cemetery, Lanesboro, PA.

MARTIN I. TREADWAY

Martin I. Treadway, 74, of Franklin Forks, PA died Wednesday, June 20, 2007 at VA Medical Center, Wilkes-Barre, PA. Born May 1, 1933 in Ticonderoga, NY he was the son of the late Ralph and Jane (Davis) Treadway. His wife, Darathy, predeceased him in 2002.

He served in the Air Force during the Korean War, during which he suffered a lifelong disability. He enjoyed being a “hobby farmer,” raising animals.

Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Fawn and Stephen Forsyth, New Milford, PA; son and daughter-in-law, Shawn M. and Theresa Treadway, Susquehanna, PA; grandchildren, Jeremiah, Shiloh, Stephen, Aaron, Katie, Shasta, and Sabrina; six great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; there are 10 siblings living out of a total of 21.

Services were held on Monday, June 25, at the Bartron - Myer Funeral Home, Montrose, PA.
