MARY COTTER MORGAN The funeral service for Mary (Maureen) Cotter Morgan will be held on Thursday, July 28, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church in Susquehanna, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered by Rev. Robert Simon. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery. Arrangements made by Hennessey’s Funeral Home, Susquehanna. Any flower memorials may be sent to the funeral home. JAMES J. SMITH James J. Smith, 83, Susquehanna, PA, passed away Sunday, July 3, 2005 at the Mid Valley Hospital in Peckville, PA after an illness. He was born in Lanesboro, PA, the son of the late William and Viola (Schline) Smith. He was predeceased by his sister, Louise DeAngelis. He is survived by a special friend, Elizabeth Frost; two cousins, Eleanor Rood, Regina Dilello; several nieces and nephews. James worked for the Conrail Railroad as a track foreman for many years before his retirement. A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery, Susquehanna. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Barnes-Kasson Hospital, Susquehanna, PA.
Rose Martha Ulrich, 79, Susquehanna, PA, formerly of Hawley, PA, passed away on Sunday, July 3, 2005 and is now with the Lord. Rose is survived by her husband, Francis Ulrich; children, Arlene (Ulrich) Collins, Richard Ulrich; grandchildren, Jeffrey Collins, William Collins, Heather Lockwood, Alanna Ketchum. A memorial service was held on Friday, July 8, at St. John’s Church, Susquehanna. In lieu of flowers, please purchase a Mass Card for Rose at St. John’s Church, Susquehanna, PA.
Jeannette Leathers, 90, Susquehanna, PA, passed away on Friday, July 8, 2005 at the Barnes-Kasson Hospital SNF, Susquehanna. She was predeceased by her husband, Milard Leathers. Jeannette is survived by one daughter, Judith Brochon, Arizona; two sisters, Jo Sabbath, New York, Eleanor Turney, Florida; one granddaughter, Patricia and Joseph Fama, New York; three great-grandchildren, William, Christine and Michael Fama. Jeannette moved to Susquehanna in 1971 and was a well known local artist for her oil and water color paintings. Memorial contributions may be made in Jeannette’s name to Barnes-Kasson Hospital SNF, Susquehanna, PA.
