Fmn. Joseph Travis In Western Pacific

Navy Fireman Joseph S. Travis, Jr., son of Bonne C. and Joseph S. Travis of New Milford, PA, and fellow Sailors aboard the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz were recently visited by the pop/punk band Blink 182.

Joseph is one of the more than 5,000 U.S. service members aboard the Nimitz who had the opportunity to meet with the band and enjoy a concert.

The Nimitz Carrier Battle Group is currently deployed to the Western Pacific in support of the global war on terrorism.

Joseph is a 2001 graduate of Blue Ridge High School and joined the Navy in July, 2001.
