HEADLINES: Local Students Make B. U. Deans List Lewisburg, PA Bucknell University has released the deans list for outstanding academic achievement during the fall semester of the 2002-03 academic year. A student must earn a grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a scale of 4.0 to receive deans list recognition. Those students from our circulation area who met this standard are: Jesse F. Graytock, Forest City, son of Francis and Karen Graytock; Ekaterina I. Luchanskaya, Hop Bottom. Area Students Named To B. U. Deans List Bloomsburg, PA Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania has recently released its list of students named to the Deans List for the first semester of the 2002-03 academic year. To qualify for Deans List, a student must earn a quality point average of 3.5 or higher (based on 4.0) during the semester. The following students from our area achieved Deans List status: Kimberly Affeldt, Great Bend; Andrew Axworthy, Montrose; Amy Bennett, South Montrose; Jill Benson, Susquehanna; Carrie Dodge, Tunkhannock; Megan Engle, Montrose; Edward Hance, Montrose; Elizabeth Kulyeshie, Susquehanna; Megan LaRue, Montrose; Jennifer Lewis, Brackney; Marcie Marquez, Nicholson; Stephen Mazikewich, Susquehanna; Melanie Montalbano, Laceyville; Benjamin Naylor, Meshoppen; Jennifer Nixon, New Milford; Kelly Orr, Susquehanna; Kristina Truman, Montrose; Patricia Winschuh, Springville; James Zahora, Hallstead. Susky High Sets Parent Teacher Conferences On Thursday, February 6, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., the Susquehanna Community Junior-Senior High School will conduct Parent/Teacher Conferences for the second nine weeks of the 2002-2003 school year. Parents interested in discussing curriculum, student problems, or school policy are requested to meet with teachers and administration at this time. Particularly urged to attend are parents of students whose report cards indicate parent conference requested. It is in the best interest of students when their teachers and parents can meet and discuss progress which is being made, or problems which exist. Please make every effort to attend the conferences. If it is impossible to attend at the scheduled time please contact the high school office to arrange for an appointment. Also, the Susquehanna Sabers Girls Basketball Team will be hosting Carbondale. The JV game starts at 6:00 p.m. Admission is free.
