Barbara Wilkins Stone, 90, of Thompson, PA went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 5th, 2018. She was born and raised in Union Endicott, NY. In 1947, she made Thompson her home when she married Donald Stone. They were married in the Ararat Methodist Church, and June 7, 2018 marked 71 years of marriage.
She actively supported her community by serving in many roles, such as a 4-H Leader, a member of the Susquehanna Community School Board, Barnes Kasson Hospital and Health Center Board, River Bounty, Thompson Hose Company, American Red Cross, American Cancer Society and the Thompson Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wayne and Frances Smith Wilkins; son, Keith Stone; four sisters and four brothers.
She is survived by her husband, Donald Stone; children, Myrl (Carol), Lorraine (Dennis) Anderson, Warren (Tootsie) Stone, Janice (Robert) McCorkle, Donna (Richard) Passetti, Glenn Stone; granddaughter, Mallery (Craig) Hubal. She leaves behind many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren who were a ray of sunshine in her life. She is also survived by sisters, Shirley Strong and Margaret Potter; and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on July 21st, at 1pm in the Thompson Methodist Church, 586 Main Street, Thompson by Pastor Lloyd Canfield.
Burial will be in the Ararat Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements by the Jones & Brennan Funeral Home, 430 Main St., Forest City.

Ruth K. Chaffee (Ruthie as she would like to be called), 71, of North Jackson, PA passed away on January 8, 2018. A Memorial Service will be held July 22, 2pm at the Brushville Baptist Church, Susquehanna, PA, officiated by Pastor Alex Vosburgh.
Her husband, John and family invite all who knew her to this celebration of Ruthie's life.
