SCCTC Announces Students Of Month

Susky Fetes Junior Honor Society

On April 12, 2018 Susquehanna Community High School held its annual National Junior Honor Society ceremony for students in grades 8 and 9. These students must have a cumulative grade point average of 91.5 in order to be eligible for this honor. There were a total of 15 students who were inducted into this honor society.

Students created projects of each pillar of the National Honor Society. Student speakers were Joshua Marco, Meghan Kiernan, Loraina Cramer, Cortney Bennett, Sophie Lawrenson, Austin Gow, Ava Presley, Jackson Batzel, and Adriana Zebrowski.

Guest speaker for the evening was current Health and Physical Education Teacher, Kim Legg. Mrs. Legg spoke about character, one of the pillars of the National Honor Society, and how it related to her personal experiences throughout her life. Congratulations to all of the students honored during this event.

DTE Energy Donates To Blue Ridge

On April 20, 2018 DTE Energy made a donation to the Blue Ridge School District. The donation was for $8,400.00 to support a mobile laptop cart for the Blue Ridge Elementary School to help the Elementary School expand their STEM programming. Logan Phillips In LVC Honor Society

Logan Phillips of Nicholson, PA was recently inducted into Sigma Alpha Pi at Lebanon Valley College during the College's annual Inquiry celebration.

Phillips, a graduate of Lackawanna Trail High School, is pursuing a bachelor of science in computer and data science at The Valley.

Austin Graham On MSC Dean's List

Morrisville State College recently announced that Austin Graham, of Montrose, PA, was named to the Dean's List for the Fall, 2017 semester. Austin is a major in the Agricultural Business program.

To be named to the Dean's List, a student must achieve an average of 3.0 to 3.99 for the semester and complete 12 credit hours.
