Gregory Davey
Gregory Davey, 60, of Susquehanna, PA passed away on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at the Moses Taylor Hospital in Scranton, PA after an illness.
He was predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Muriel Davey of Glen Rock, NJ and Susquehanna.
Greg is survived by his siblings, Jeffrey and Kathy Davey, Jeannine and Thomas Kenny, Margaret and Steven Biegert, Christopher and Valerie Davey; also 10 nieces and nephews and his much-loved cousins.
Greg was born in Florida and grew up in Glen Rock, New Jersey. Greg worked for Air Gas Supply Company for 11 years while residing in Brewster, NY. He was also a volunteer for the Brewster Fire Company. Greg moved to Susquehanna in 2007 and made it his home. He worked for IRR Supply and the Susquehanna DPW. Greg enjoyed camping, fishing, music, and his time at the beach. Greg loved trivia, to laugh, tell jokes and spend time with his family and friends. When Greg walked into a room, the party started.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 11am at the St. John’s Church in Susquehanna, PA.
Interment will be held in the St. John’s Cemetery.

Lewis Clifford Price
Lewis Clifford Price, 62, of Union Dale, passed away on Friday, February 16, 2018 at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital after an illness. He is survived by his wife, Kathryn Penn Price. The couple would have celebrated their 29th anniversary in September.
Born in Susquehanna, son of Shirley Wademan Clark, North Jackson, and the late Richard Price, he attended the East Ararat United Methodist Church, where he volunteered at their breakfasts and chicken barbeques. He was a graduate of Susquehanna Community Schools, Class of 1974. He was previously employed at the EJ Shoe Factory, Forest City for almost 20 years until its closing. He then worked with Tully Drilling as a well driller until their closing, and then at Kilmer’s Stone Quarry as a stone cutter. Prior to his illness, he was employed by Apex Home Services, Thompson. He loved remodeling and building new things. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and helping others. He also enjoyed camping and spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchild.
Also surviving are his son, Joshua Price, Union Dale; five daughters, January Roney and husband Joe, Union Dale, Jackie Burrows and husband James, Orson, Marlena Anderson and husband Josh, Thompson, Georgia Stephens and husband John, Union Dale; Gloria Davis, Union Dale; two sisters, Lisa Allen, Susquehanna, Sandy Kilmer, Thompson; three brothers, Gene Price and wife Donna, Fiddle Lake, Dennis Price and wife Anita, Susquehanna; Dean Price and partner, Sarah, New York; 15 grandchildren: Amanda, Paige, Sarah, Kayla, Joey, Justin, Brooke, Ashley, Warren, Jesse, Jerame, Jacob, Jaxon, Summer, and Seirra; and a great-grandchild, Paisley.
He was also preceded in death by his younger brother, Roger; and his step-father, Richard Clark.
The funeral was held Wednesday, February 21, in the Jones & Brennan Funeral Home, 430 Main Street, Forest City. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.

Warren Peter (Pete) Stanton
Warren Peter (Pete) Stanton, 65, of Springville, PA passed away on February 19, 2018 at Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Dunmore, PA after a valiant two-year battle against esophageal cancer. He was born October 26, 1952 in Harford, PA to the late Jack and Ruth Stanton of Heart Lake, PA.
Pete was a graduate of Montrose High School and Penn State University, where he earned a degree in forestry. During his working career, he was employed in a number of venues: truck driving, utility forester for Penn Line Services, Claverack REC, DiAngelo Brothers, as well as PP&L. Most recently, Pete worked at the Penguin/Random House facility in Kirkwood, NY until its closing in March 2016.
His greatest devotion was to his beloved wife of 31 years, Lorraine Loch Stanton, who survives him, and his two stepdaughters, Jacqueline Kelly, Hoboken, NJ and Kathleen Kelly, Springfield, PA, as well as his favorite four-legged companions, Peppy and Dart. Pete was an avid outdoorsman and hunter and a deep thinker who enjoyed reading and collecting historical and biographical works. He was also a student of watercolor and poetry.
Pete is also survived by his brothers, Mark Stanton, Montrose, Matthew Stanton, Throop, Joseph Stanton (Karen), Lakeside, John Scott (Jeanine), Freeville, NY, a sister, Joan Burdick (Richard), Binghamton, NY; many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews. In addition to his parents, he was pre-deceased by a sister, Ruth Ann Scott Burdick.
The family wishes to thank the entire staff of Hospice of the Sacred Heart In-Patient Unit at Dunmore, PA. The loving care, concern, and compassion extended to Pete, his family and friends will long be appreciated and remembered.
Service was held Friday, February 23 at Bartron-Myer Funeral Home, Montrose, PA.

Laura Ann Brownell
Laura Ann Brownell, 68, of Coxton Lake, PA passed away at home on Thursday, February 22, 2018. Laura is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Ron Brownell; two sons, Joe (Brendan Gill) Brownell of New York City, NY, Woody (Ellen Payne) Brownell of Coxton Lake, PA; sister, Janice Mae (Mike) Sullivan of Mesquite, NV; brother, Paul (Pat) Netta, Cheyenne, WY; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended lake family. She was predeceased by her parents, Paul and Mae Netta.
Originally from Rahway, NJ, Laura moved to Starrucca after her marriage to Ron, where she owned and operated a beauty salon. For the last 28 years, she was owner of the Laurel Hill Apartments. in Susquehanna, PA. Laura loved cooking and baking for friends and family, feeding the animals on the farm and spending time with her family. Her chocolate chip cookies will be missed by many.
A private remembrance will be held during the summer at the Lake.

Mason R. Evans
Mason R. Evans, 78, of Susquehanna, PA passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 21, 2018.
He was predeceased by his parents, Cradoc and Naomi (Phelps) Evans and several brothers and sisters.
Mason leaves behind his wife of 8 years, Sue Rhone Evans; step-sons and wives, Christopher and Amber Lynch of Athens, PA, and Stephen and Cyndi Lynch of Goodyear, AR; seven grandchildren, Nick, Aidan, Madeleine, Elizabeth, Reagan, Katelyn, and Nicholas; sisters, Lois Schrader, Rhoda Munson, Helen Evans and Margaret and Lewis Lamb; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mason worked 33 years for PennDOT, from which he retired in 2001.
Per his request there will be a private family celebration of life at the Hennessey’s Funeral Home, Susquehanna, PA.
Interment will be held in the Starrucca Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
